Then lined the inside with acoustic plasterboard and all solid interfaces got "green glue" - thats what made the difference. Its not perfect but is Ok for that far down the garden. Don't forget to insulate the floor too as sound travels that way quickly **Q: Can gripper rods be later on top of this. I’m using for sound proofing. Under carpet underlay as well?** A: Two layers of gripper one on top of the other bang the spikes down with a hammer on the bottom row it works fine I am a carpet fitter and have done this lots of times **Q: Can this be used under LVT** A: We’ve used it under 8mm laminate flooring. **Q: How many packs would I need to fit 20 m squared ?** A: two ## Frequently Bought Together - Fibre Boards Floor 7mm Laminate Flooring Underlay Engineered Insulation Thermo Sound Wood Floor - 1 Pack 9.6m2 - Excel Joining Vapour Tape for Laminate and Wood Floors Self Adhesive Foil Tape by Joining Tape --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/49912161-7m2-pack-fibre-boards-floor-7mm-laminate-flooring-underlay-engineered](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/49912161-7m2-pack-fibre-boards-floor-7mm-laminate-flooring-underlay-engineered) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
