I took the big ring off a triple crank and paired with this. Crazy cheap drivechain for an xc bike and the bottom gear is 15 gear inches

Get Up Those Hills - Certainly Helps Me
Fitted on two bikes. Should be replacement for any 8-speed. Use Shimano GS cage derailleur.
