I usually don’t write reviews. But I thought this warranted one. I recently bought an EV and needed a pass through for my garage so I didn’t smash the charging cable. I knew this was designed for a Tesla 3 charger, but I loved the way that it slanted at the edges. It allows a much tighter seal than the square pass throughs. My charging cable was slightly thicker than that of a Tesla 3 charger, but this was a very simple fix. To avoid pinching the cable, because it’s thicker than what this is designed for, I went to Home Depot and bought 4-1/4 in. x 6 in. Brown Rectangular Felt Heavy-Duty Self-Adhesive Furniture Sheet (2-Pack). I placed one pad on each side and trimmed the excess to keep the original shape. This worked amazing. This provides amazing protection by increasing the gap for my EV charging cable. It even allows for a little wiggle room. I HIGHLY recommend this if you’re looking for a pass through for under the garage. Also, I’m using the Grizzl-e smart avalanche charger.

Exactly what I needed. Just flexible enough to not worry about breaking it, just rigid enough to protect your cable. It does still slightly pinch down on the cable once the door sets on top of it, so it would be tough to pull the cable through while the door was closed if you tried, but the cable isnt being crushed and there are no marks indicating damage. So, not a big deal, and that's probably a good thing anyway.

The cable protector works fine, but doesn't have any weight to it, or way to adhere it to the floor so it moves around and doesn't stay in place. Does a fine job protecting the cable if you're careful about the placement each time you close the garage door.

These things are super simple, light and easy to deploy (I bought two). But they actually do the job of protecting the cables while keeping a good seal on the bottom of the garage door. I’d buy again if needed.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Picked this product due to Spigen being a reputable company. I've used their phone cases for years. While this product offers some protection, it still pinches the Tesla mobile charger cable. The material has no firmness to protect the cable basically making it a plastic plate covering the charging cable. I went and replaced it with a solid 3d printed block instead...

I am very happy with this product. I bought it so that my garage door doesn’t close directly onto the charger cable. This works great, it is compatible with my Tesla Wall Charger Gen 3. It allows some wiggle room when the garage door is closed and the cable needs a little movement. I think it is a bit pricey, but I looked into it as an investment so my charger doesn’t get damaged. No installation required, just lay it flat onto where the garage door closes and your good to go.

Does what it’s supposed to. Easy to use.

Summer is here and thus the garage is full of toys and tools. Tesla needed to be parked outside. Charging outlet is indoors, and closing the door on the cable leaves a nick in it. Purchased this slim pass through and my Tesla can be charged with the garage door closed now! Good quality, built sturdy! Will recommend if you don't want to cut a hole in the garage door like me.

Kudos to spigen for thinking and creating this product first of all. I've been trying DIY solutions for this very real issue but something that's sleek and let's you close the garage door fully is something brilliant. While the material is very sturdy and seems to age very slowly, I don't think in my opinion it justified the price. I bought it anyway cause of very real need.

I currently park my electric vehicle outside my garage with the charging station inside the garage. This simple yet sturdy product protects my cable with no gaps.

feels very sturdy. When garage door is closed, cable is slightly pushed down within this funnel, so you can't pull the cable in and out but you can move the cable side to side as described. Garage door doesn't clamp or damage the cable thanks to this protector, though. One issue is that garage door sometime re-opens because it thinks there is something blocking, so I have to try a few times to find the sweet spot so garage door closes properly
