The AC is over 15 years old and admittedly on its last legs. Then it stopped working and I noticed a buzzing sound coming from the compressor. A little online research suggested that it could be the condensor. It is easily accessible and simple to replace by reattaching the existing wires to the same places as the old one. Voila! AC running fine again!PS: It did not immediately start right up upon returning power, but then kicked in in a few moments.
