Temperature sensor protective case
Thank you this item is great! No problem fixing the temperature sensor in protective case. I feel much better knowing the device is hopefully going to be okay. It seems to be doing what is made for. Many thanks cheers.

Good option for Netatmo outdoor weather sensor.
I chose this thanks to another reviewer mentioning they installed one of these for their Netatmo sensor; it works a treat and was only about a third of the cost of the Netatmo branded version.

Works OK and provides sensor protection
Size fine, easy to use, number of mounting options, fairly solid once assembled, so generally OK. Not convinced it works that well as a solar shield but I didn't expect too much from it that way. Probably OK as long as tucked away somewhere but any direct sun hit will warm it up.

keeps the transmitter dry and out of direct sunlight
Really straightforward mounting with ties included with purchase, and raw plugs & screws if needed. it's nice and strong and gives complete protection to the out door weather sender . recommend to buy this item to give complete wet and sun protection

Works well with Netatmo Outdoor Module
Like many others on here, I bought this to use with the Netatmo outdoor sensor which is not its intended purpose. It's plastic and feels a bit flimsy, but it does firm up once its been slotted into the wall bracket. That said, it's sole purpose is to provide shade and cover which it does brilliantly. At two properties I've struggled to place my sensor somewhere that is sheltered and is not affected by localised heating with sunlight or radiant heat from the ground. This has solved the problem enabling me to locate the unit in a shady area behind a bush. Measurements are now accurate, regardless of sunlight. It would be great to see a Netatmo specific unit, but for now this does the job beautifully and at £15 it's cheap too.

Pefect for my Netatmo Outdoor Module
Easy to mount, plenty of room for my module. Dry, windproof & very accurate readings. Doesn't interfere with the network. Absolute bargain compared to the Netatmo official cover.

Netatmo users please read
Although not sold for Natatmo stations, I bought this as a radiation shield for my outdoor module as other users have used it successfully to improve temperature accuracy in sunny conditions.I can confirm the module fits perfectly, secured with supplied Velcro strips stuck to the module and interior mount, and supplied cable ties allowing it to be secured to a mounting pole or screwed to a solid surface. It has greatly improved temperature accuracy overnight, but still reads high in direct sunlight, around 2 degC high over 20C and up to 3 degC high over 25C.Build quality is acceptable but the price is slightly high for what is basically a piece of plastic, and as other users have stated, the plastic does have a slight pink hue to it.Currently the best product I have found to weatherproof my Netatmo outdoor module, but more air flow is needed to prevent over-reading temperature in warm conditions.

Great for Ecowitt thermo-hygro and lightning sensors
Bought two of these for use with my Ecowitt WH31 and WH57 themo-hygro and lightning sensors for outside use and they both fit a treat with plenty of room to spare. The unit comes in three parts:1) the wall/shed mounting bracket.2) the circular outer protective casing3) the bayonet-lock base which contains the sensor mounting post. There are two modes of fixing supplied: 4 screws and wall plugs for the wall or shed mount and two cable ties for affixing to a pole.Fixing the sensor inside the case is easy: first, unscrew the base from the outer case by a 1/8th of a turn clockwise (looking from bottom) and free the base from the three locking lugs.Mount the sensor on the base by using either the supplied piece of Velcro attached to the vertical post inside the case and the back of the sensor or by wrapping a small cable tie (also supplied) fairly tightly around the aforementioned vertical post and sensor. I went for the Velcro method. Then, simply lift the base up to the outer case, align the three holes on the base with the lugs on the underside of the case and twist anti-clockwise (looking from underneath) to lock the base holding the sensor in place. The thermometer does read about 1.5C high when strong sun is directly on it, but the lightning detector works fine (well, after I set the DIP switches correctly that is!)Two things to be aware of:1) the internal diameter of the case is only just over 60mm, so check the width of your sensors before buying.2) the wall/shed mount requires the case body to be slid down over the mount, so around 200mm of space is required above the mounting bracket in order to slide the sensor case down in place onto the mount.Overall, a decent quality case that seems to work well, but perhaps a little narrow for sensors over 60mm wide and 160mm tall.
