Works really well

I use this in my workshop, hooked up to a cheap shop vac that has dubious sucking power. I used to have to empty my vac and clean the filters two or three times a day during bigger projects but the dust commander does a great job at capturing about 80-90% of the workshop waste with only the finest stuff getting as far as the vacuum cleaner. Yes, I still have to clean the filter once in a while but this bit of kit has made a huge difference to the overall waste collection and I do recommend it. Coming pre-built with the bleed valve already installed as well was a huge bonus. 4 stars instead of 5 because - it’s top heavy and needs a wider base (or build one) - the container sides are a little thin, meaning strong suction would collapse the barrel. I’d like to see that a little thicker to take higher suction rates but it still does the main job.

Bought this to add to a shop vac setup to prevent constantly filling up and changing bags. Set it up really quickly and easily. I was surprised to find I didn't have to screw the vortex onto the lid, everything is ready to go. Connected my nilfisk shopvac to the top and a tube to the side port, and away you go. I didn't think the suction was thst great to start with, but I ran my mitre saw with a few odd bits of ply and some mdf and was amazed with the amount of dust that ended up in the bottom. I didn't want to shell out for another vac/ extractor when I've already got one with an auto on function so this fitted my needs perfectly. Just need to layout the garage in a way that I can actually get to everything now.

The dust commander P30 is really very efficient. I have it connected to my shop-vac (cheap Titan workshop vac), for use in my workshop, collecting sawdust from a table saw, mitre saw, thickness planer, belt sander, various other power tools and cleaning the workshop floor/sides. It's so good that I don't even use a bag in the vac, as vast majority (at least 99%) is contained within the drum. See the photos, what little is in the vac was already under the bag after removing it and emptying the drum, nothing new has noticeably entered the vac, even the ultra fine MDF dust (there's around 5 litres of mixed sawdust in the drum in the photo). It saves a little money and time on replacing bags, and I suspect is much healthier saving even very fine dust from being blown back into the room through the vac. The drum itself is a little light, so could do with being held in place, and does compress a little while in use, but doesn't stop it working and also includes a good anti-blockage valve on the top of the lid to release pressure on the vac.

Price is good, and the quality is very good. It's very easy to assemble and the instructions were very clear. The only thing is that it's very easy to be tipped over. Apart from that, it's almost perfect.

Overall the Dustmaster kit works well. I’m using for sawdust and all of the dust ends up in the drum and none in the shopvac, so works perfectly in that respect. I do however have a couple of issues 1) why on earth don’t they include a stand in the kit?? This thing is really top heavy when empty and is near impossible to keep standing upright without any support. 2) I’m using with a Bosch Profesional GAS 25 SFC and the anti collapse valve leaks at the default adjustment during normal operation. If I adjust the valve by tightening until the leak stops the drum looks at high risk of collapsing if the inlet tube get blocked and the anti collapse valve opens . My conclusion is that the high power of the Bosch shop vac is at the top end of the units capability. All that being said there are no instructions on how to adjust the valve included nor on the website.

Good product, well packaged, works as expected, however hose adapters are not threaded and connection of hoses is problematic 😐. Had to purchase additional connectors. Pitty because otherwise it's an excellent bit of kit 👌 Update: anti crash valve is either too loose or to tight and very difficult to dial in properly, the cyclone is very effective with large dust and particles but misses the fine dust completely, result is that the vacuum canister remains empty but the filter gets caked in dust, the dust commander bin will take only the heavy stuff. This is an issue as you end up having to clean two appliances now instead of one only!

I'm using this before a standard inline bathroom extractor fan to filter sanding dust from the output of a paint extractor hood so I'm not constantly vacuuming the filter pads, or not throwing resin dust out the window. It does drop all the dust into the blue bucket. It's well built and only slightly fiddly to open and close. I'm very happy with it. The inlet and outlet are the wrong size for anything, so I've ordered some adapters to replace duct tape. I'll come back and edit in the parts I settle on.

Eine tolle Ergänzung zu meiner CNC-Fräsmaschine. Endlich kann ich fräsen, ohne hinterher ständig den Filter reinigen zu müssen. Für meinen Kärcher WD3 habe ich mir passende Adapter mit dem 3D Drucker ausgedruckt, einen Verlängerungsschlauch gekauft und mit einem Kemo M028N Regler wird die Leistung geregelt. Was soll ich sagen, eine perfekte Kombination! Der "Dust Commander", besser bekannt als Zyklon, trennt die Späne/Staub sehr gut und der Staubfilter im Staubsauger bleibt leer. An der Verarbeitung gibt es nichts auszusetzen, alles passt und ist dicht. Alles in allem hat mich der gesamte Umbau ca. 120,- Euro gekostet, aber es ist jeden Cent wert!

Werkt zoals verwacht, het overdrukventiel doet prima zijn werk. Slang van Ø35 gaat goed, groter is waarschijnlijk nog wat beter.

Petit et compact, se range facilement et ne prend pas trop de place ! Efficace, il fait son "boulot" ! Pour le bricolage, c'est parfait ! Exactement ce qu'il me fallait, avec un rapport qualité/prix tout à fait correct ! J'en suis satisfait et je le recommande !!

Funciona muy bien. Recoge la gran mayoría del serrín que generan las máquinas, aunque el polvo muy muy fino acaba pasando a la aspiradora, pero es normal. Este filtro recoge las partículas mas grandes y casi todo el polvo. Te ahorra mucho trabajo de estar desmontando el filtro de la aspiradora, sobre todo si trabajas mucho con madera. Viene con varios adaptadores para diferentes medidas de tubo. Trae una válvula anti vacío para que, si se tapona la aspiración, no pase todo el polvo a la aspiradora principal. Cuando detecta que está taponada la manguera, se abre la válvula y entra aire para que no haga vacío. Esta sensibilidad se puede ajustar con una simple tuerca. Genera bastante estática, como todas las aspiradoras, pero ten en cuenta que a veces de saltará un chispazo, sin mas importancia. Buen producto.
