Stanley 034296 Closed Case Fibreglass Tape 20m

Stanley quality without breaking the bank. Winds in nicely, used almost daily on site and for building surveys. Compact size and would buy again.

Handy and great pirchase

Tape itself is OK value overall, plastic shell & winding handle with a tiny metal pin to hold it in place fell out somehow on the first use, very hard to now wind back in. But I've paid way more for many other tapes & they still offer no better quality in materials,the tape always snaps if metal as its so thin, and if the tape is material based like this they snap too from been stretched alot, guess it depends how much you use it.

I bought this tape measure after my don broke my little 5m measure, trying to pull it out further that intended. Because I have a large garden I wanted a measure that didn't spring back in full speed, plus a longer length. Ideal as the start of the tape has a little claw you can fix in place. Then pull your desired length out, and safely wind it back in at your own speed.

The winding handle snapped off fairly easily, this product is ‘ok’ for the price but if you can afford to, spend a bit more and get a better one. It is easy to read, though - just not very heavy duty. I replaced with a £40 Dewalt alternative which although is thinner and harder to read, is much harder wearing

Por cuestiones de trabajo ya tenía dos cintas de 20 metros de esta misma marca que han aguantado de todo (lluvia, humedad, calor, peso), y el plástico (tanto de la carcasa como de la propia cinta) continúa como el primer día. Tenía también una cinta de 30 m, de otra marca, pero que, aun siendo muy buena y cómoda en el despliegue y la recogida (y en la visibilidad de los números), era algo pesada. Así que me decidí a comprar esta, esperando que salga igual de buena y resistente que sus hermanas de 20 m, y es bastante más ligera que mi otra cinta de 30 m, así que mucho mejor cuando tengo que cargar la mochila con las herramientas de campo. Los números se ven bien, es ligera (para el tamaño que tiene), el gancho metálico es muy útil y ajusta bien a esquinas, clavos, .... y la manivela también funciona bien, sin que hasta ahora haya tenido los típicos atascos en la recogida de la cinta. Buena calidad, buen precio, marca contrastada.
