AVOCA Caustic pencil silver nitrate sticks 40% for removing leeks warts and skin tissues

After a long year fighting my twin boys numerous vercucas with wartner (about £200 spent I guess), this is finally killing them and fast too. So much cheaper as well. Heartily recomend using this, do read the instructions though as it easily disintegrates when you take off the cap for the second treatment; so would suggest you buy two at least. Am now stocking up for the final assult!

It's a neatly made stick, and delivers a lower concentration of medication than the 95% ones - useful in applications where the 95% is too strong. But the tip is indeed fragile, and I broke one a year ago - my bad. Had to replace it. The trick is to read the instructions first! . We've just replaced our second one, which has worn out with normal use. . For those unwilling to read the directions, they tell the user to put a drop or two of water on a suitable surface, then waggle the tip in the water to dissolve some silver nitrate. When that's done, transfer the drop(s) to the target area. Done! . If (as I did at first) you just try to rub the target with the dry stick, it breaks easily, which was my fault. Moistening the stick helps, but it still breaks eventually with this method. When used as directed it's fine.

Absolutely eliminated the verucca after only 2 applications (took some weeks to fully heal). Be careful with applying too much, but otherwise fantastic. Nothing else helped.

I was very disappointed, although reviews did warn of tip breaking off. I was, I thought extremely careful using it but it still broke off and not just the tip, right at the base. It I rendered it completely useless.

When I bought this product, I was a bit wary. Having read a few reviews that warned about the fragility of the pencil, I wasn't sure what to expect. Then there was the disclaimer on the box that excluded returns due to a broken pencil. I've used the caustic pencil a few times now, and it works wonderfully. It does exactly what it says. It's nice and easy to use. So I'm currently wondering why so many people complain about a broken tip. It is, because they just don't read the instructions leaflet properly? You do not need to apply any pressure at all when using the pencil. And if you do not apply any pressure, then it will not break. So, am I just incredibly lucky? Or are some people are just incapable to follow instructions and think they know better, then whine and try to blame the manufacturer for messing up? I don't know. What I know is that I can really recommend this product. It works. Just a word of warning though: Caustic pencils are not to be messed with. You can seriously hurt yourself if you use it wrong. If you're unsure, you better see your podologist.

Despite reading the warnings about the easy to break tip, I took a chance on this; what a mistake. I used the product once to good effect and thought it was ok. The second time, as others have stated, even though I was careful the tip broke off and landed on the floor. The danger came when not wanting to touch the broken off tip, I used tweezers to pick it up. It exploded in to pieces, one landing on my leg leaving a black mark. I'm just lucky it did not hit me in the face, or worse my eyes. This product should be sold as single use, or better redesigned when it is obviously has a fatal design flaw. I noted on another website say "We cannot refund for broken tips. Please be careful". Why would you continue to sell such a product? One star is too many.

Matita perfetta, usata per un'unghia incarnita ha fatto il suo lavoro egregiamente. Attenzione, la punta è un cristallo di sale, non va pigiata o trattata male, perché è abbastanza fragile, ed è quella che, sciogliendola con una goccia d'acqua, va depositata sulla zona da trattare. In genere la matita si può usare una dozzina di volte, poi il cristallo si consuma. Asciugatela sempre con un pezzetto di carta igienica dopo l'uso per farla durare di più altrimenti dopo 6 applicazioni finisce. E comunque, poi basta spingere dall'interno con un cacciavite per far fuoriuscire ancora mezzo millimetro di sale. Nelle foto, la matita dopo 7 applicazioni: asciugandola sempre dopo l'uso, la punta è circa la metà rispetto a quando è nuova. Acquisto validissimo.

Habe die Stifte früher in HH in der Apotheke gekauft, leider werden die in Deutschland nicht mehr über die Apotheke Vertrieben. Bringe mir immer welche aus Frankreich mit. Bei Fersen Rissen (Hornhaut) und Riss/Schnitt Verletzung sehr hilfreich, weil sich die Haut innerhalb von kurzer zeit zusammenzieht (stringierende Wirkung). Und ja die brechen leicht ab, aber das liegt am Mineral und wahr schon immer so.

Mir dem Artikel war ich überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Schon bei der dritten Anwendung, die genau nach Anleitung erfolgte, brach die Spitze des Nitrat-Stiftes weg in kleine Einzelteile. Ein kleiner Rest steckte noch in der Halterung. Auch dieser Rest war bröselig und somit unbrauchbar. Der Stift konnte anschließend nicht mehr verwendet werden. Ich konnte damit nicht einmal eine Warze entfernen. Der Stift ist rausgeschmissenes Geld.
