Excellent product!
I’m really quite impressed with this cup and highly recommend it. When compressed, it’s nice and small and easily fits into a bag or pocket. When filled with a hot drink, it’s comfortable to hold and feels secure. The lid screws on easily and the hole in the lid for drinking is a good size and angle, which allows you to drink with ease knowing it won’t spill over you. It’s great knowing you’re helping the environment and it’s a bonus when in a coffee shop to either get a few pence off the price of a coffee, or an extra stamp for more coffees! The only negatives for me is that the cup is a little stiff and awkward to pull into shape and also to collapse down after use. Also after drinking, it’s best to rinse the cup out immediately, because if you collapse it down without rinsing then it’s inclined to leak. So I’d recommend putting it in a waterproof bag till you get home, if you can’t rinse it out before then. This cup is a great invention especially if you don’t want to carry a large and heavy cup around. It’s helping our environment, so I give it 5 stars and more!!

Great idea, love the product, but could be improved
I've used this product for many months now, I found the following pros and cons. Pros: collapsable, light weight, non-breakable and obviously help to minimise coffee cup waste Cons: not leak proof. the bottom ring can slip off, the silicone could retains the smell of liquid. On balance, I would still recommend this product. This is because: a) the pros are good enough reasons for me to buy this product. It's one of the very few good collapsible cups on the market - very suitable for travelling, and it's the only one (at time of writing) that offers the flexibility for 3 cup size changes, which are useful for different coffee machines. b) the cons are not dealbreakers and can be minimised/get rid of with some careful use. So, (i) although this is not leak-proof, it's spill proof - one can certainly make sure the lid and the edge of cup are aligned well before they screw the lid on to ensure the lid tightens well. By doing so, hardly any liquid would come out; (ii) in terms of silicone retaining smell, that applies to all silicone product, and can be easily get rid off, by spraying the product with baking soda and vinegar and then wash with hot water. It does not affect taste of liquid. And silicone is necessary in order for the cup to be collapsible (which was my main requirement). c) their customer service is also excellent. They had got in touch with regards to my criticism of the product and even offer to provide a full refund for any dissatisfaction. So it's good the know that this company really cares. In terms of further product improvements, I would suggest some type of ring-seal to make it leak proof, and also get the lower holding ring stuck the silicone rather than allowing it to move, then then this product will be close to perfect :)

Great buy - but don't give the lid to the barista!
This is a great cup - just started thinking about how much damage takeaway coffee cups do to the world and switched to this. The fact that it's collapsible means it takes up next to no room in your bag. The white is silicone and the red is solid plastic, so holding it round the red ring doesn't squish the cup when you're drinking. Just chuck it in the dishwasher once you get to work and it cleans beautifully. Couple of bits to add - the lid. When you hand your cup to the barista, don't give them the lid. They try to put it on, squish it down as you would any normal cup, and of course the coffee flies up everywhere and coats the poor girl in milky coffee - speaking from experience here. If you don't give them the lid, they just hand the cup back to you so you can put on the lid yourself. Other thing is, sometimes it takes a few attempts to screw the lid on properly. Once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. It's not insulated - you'd lose the ability to collapse it if it was - but I've had no problems with temperature. Still, would fully recommend.

Does the job
I've been through a fair few travel mugs over the years, they're either really difficult to clean, the thread seal breaks over time, they hold the drink at a way too hot temperature or I just lose them on public transport/leave them at work where they get taken by others. This one seems to fit the bill of what I'm looking for. Firstly it collapses for ease of transport which once you get the hang of the collapsing mechanism is really great and I can just slip it into my pocket when I'm done with it. I have noticed some spillage but I'm not entirely sure the thread was on correctly. It holds an 8oz & 12oz drink really well but does get surprisingly heavy with a 16oz. Temperature wise it holds a hot drink a little warmer than a standard paper cup would which is perfect for a bus commute but I think it would fail on anything longer than an hour. The build is good, whilst it does feel like it wouldn't hold up and feels a bit on the flimsy side, so far it has been fine. My only issue with it is that it tends to retain odours, especially at this time of year when pumpkin spice and bonfire spiced drinks are everywhere, but it hasn't tainted the taste of anything so far. I've also found the little stickers that drinks places use to customise your order doesn't stick on the cup so there has been a couple of times where I've had to hand my lid over to the Baristas. In all, a fairly decent cup. I haven't put it in the dishwasher so can't comment on that (just been cleaning mine with warm water and washing up liquid) but due to its build I wouldn't want to risk splitting it.

Great drinks come in small packages
Absolutely love this cup. I opted for this as it gave 3 sizes unlike the others who only gave up to 12oz so no grande starbucks in those cups. I did have an issue with the thread on one cup but the second cup doesn't have this issue and with all the other glowing reviews I assumed I had my regular bad luck but the seller was fantastic and sorted out a replacement which I can hold upside down and it does not leak in the slightest, not that I ever store my brews upside down but like a watch that goes to 300m under water, I won't use it that deep but it is nice to know it'll be alright in the bath, same with the cup, I know it won't spill no matter how bumpy my car journey is. The cup fully extended stands slightly taller than a regular mug but holds a lot more and at the 2 smaller sizes they are slightly smaller than a mug which is a decent enough size to hold and the interior is changed by pushing the correct bit inside of itself. The rim is plastic and a screw top unlike others that are silicone so come apart with pressure and this gives you greater confidence to grab it by the top and the heat sleeve in the middle is also firm plastic meaning you don't have to hold the cup like a bomb disposal expert, just treat it like any other mug. The lid makes a nice click sound when the stopper is in so you know you're good to go when you hear and feel that satisfying click. Great cup and great service, extremely impressed. If I can figure out how to upload the video of me shaking this upside down with water in it I will.

Highly disappointing product
I am really quite amazed at the high number of positive reviews about this product. I am sorry but my experience is quite different. This product costs nearly £15 and I expected a much better build quality. It looks cheaply made and the clip on the lid is really fragile and doesn't lock down as positively as it should. Having said that I tried it out for the first time yesterday. I made a latte coffee with the cup fully extended (grande) and put it in the car cup holder. Once I got to my destination (about 6 minutes away) I flipped open the cup and started to drink the coffee. The first thing I noticed was that the coffee had already started to go cold. I would have expected it to keep hot for longer. The body of the cup was quite warm, so this explains why the drink cooled down so quickly. Once I had finished my coffee, I compressed the cup to its smallest size, put the lid on tightly and secured it. There was hardly any liquid left in the cup at this point. I put the cup in my 'man bag' and carried on with my day. When I got home, I took the cup out of the bag and was horrified to see that the cup had leaked everywhere. An envelope I needed to post was sodden. I had to reprint the document and put it into a fresh envelope. This is not what I was expecting at all. I already have a couple of other drinks mugs, costing significantly less than this product, which have never leaked. The reason I bought this product is because I liked the idea of the variable size and the ability to compress it so it easily fits into my bag when I have finished with it. At home I filled the mug with cold water, put the lid on tightly and secured it. I turned it upside down and shook it. As I expected, it leaked everywhere - not like a flood but a persistent drip, drip, drip. If you intend to consume your drink fairly quickly and you keep the mug more or less upright all the time, then it should work fine for you. Bear in mind, however, that there are better, cheaper (non collapsible) products out there. If you want use it like I have described above, then don't waste your money. I have sent this product back today for a refund.

Great product - buy one for everyone you know!
New year and a commitment to reducing plastic waste was the reason for buying two of these cups. First use we tried it out on the free coffee in Waitrose on the medium setting. This filled it to the brim and meant the lid got covered in froth so when I put the lid back on and collapsed it at the end, coffee froth sprayed out. However, if you use it on full expansion and don't fill it to the top, it works fine. I used it in a car cup holder with no problems and it kept my coffee warm enough despite a 15 min car journey. It's easy to clean and fits easily into a handbag or pocket. Have only had two cups for 48 hours and have already saved 5 disposable cups. Costa coffee were very happy to fill it and offered to rinse for me. Really pleased with this purchase.

Local Starbucks & Costa won't use it
Once you've played with this at home to get the knack of extending and compressing it, this is a great travel cup. The great bonus is, so far, the used & compressed cup hasn't leaked at all in my bag. So I love it as a product, and would absolutely give the cup itself five stars. The problem is the coffee shops themselves... I've found the coffee shops in London are fine with the cup. They don't even comment on it. Sadly the Starbucks and Costa branches I've been to outside of London have all had issues with the Pokito. I give the cup to them fully extended and with the lid off, but they treat it like they've been handed a snot covered alien. Their usual response is "I don't know how to use this cup" (which says more about the staff than the Pokito), followed by either a refusal to use it, or giving a very poorly made drink accompanied by complaints about "the cup is weird" and "it keeps collapsing". So much as a love my Pokito, and feel good about reducing my own coffee cup waste, I don't try to use it outside London anymore. (This review was originally three stars. I've now dropped it down to two stars. This is because since posting the review I keep getting pushy emails from Pokito wanting to 'talk about' the review. It doesn't feel like Customer Service, it's just irritating. So now dropping to two stars because if you don't give Pokito five stars the company won't leave you alone. I'll never buy from them again.)

Ideal travel cup
It's an ideal cup for coffee on the go... You can collapse into a tiny thing once you're done. The lid is sturdy enough not to leak anything. You can increase or decrease the volume that it holds by pulling out or collapsing the cup.
