Perfect idea for cat or small dog. The slant helps the pet eat without bending their head, and I have not witnessed any choking. One cat used to choke on mucus when her head was down with traditional bowls on the ground, and now she has not choked but eats comfortably. This is my 5th bowl from this company and one only has chipping at the bottom. Not happy about that because it will continue to damage the bowl. Would like to exchange just this one that was just received with chipping.
