Good replacement

Disappointed
I bought this last year on the 2nd of July 2025, price was great & the light (brightness) was superb 👌. However, barely a year & the lamp is nolonger working. 10,000 hours it says, I don't think I even got close to a quarter of that. Perhaps I'm the unlucky one but I'm really really disappointed by the lifespan.

Don't bother! Get a new LED light fitting instead.
These bulbs are a defunct piece of kit and should all be hoyed off to the recycling. They are now banned in the UK but suppliers are allowed to sell off any surplus, degrading stock. Which is just what they are doing with this bulb. I'll give it it's due, it comes on but it is by no means useful bathroom lighting. A tealight has more lumens. It seems to already be well on its way to dying. However... It is my own fault for hoping for a cheap fix. An electrician told me these bulbs were going to be banned a few years back and I would be better off getting a LED light fixture instead. Turns out he knew his onions! In summary don't buy this bulb, it's a false economy, get an LED fixture instead. It's what I'll now be doing. Once bitten an all that...

It's a light fitting that woks
What can I say about this? It's a light fitting. It fits nicely and gives off light with no flickering. As I've only just fitted it, I can't comment on lifespan.

Works but brightness of light level not great
Got a few of these for replacements to the ones in our kitchen and landing for the units we had installed during our rewiring some years back. Unfortunately these are not giving out the same lumens as the originals we had. We have one of the original bulbs which is still going 10 years later and is still brighter than these bulbs. Sadly it is getting difficult to buy new 28kw Light Units as the halogen low-power consumption units are now being used, acvording tonour electrician who had to replace the unit in our bathroom. So these 4-pin 28kw bulbs will do till they are used up and then I'll get my electrician to install the new lighting units. (Which are thrown away to be replaced when their bulbs go!!!)
