The best thimbles out on the market, brilliant for those who struggle using normal thimbles.
I absolutely love clover products because they are brilliantly thought out, and they are the best quality product for people who hand sew. I do a lot of hand sewing and at the moment I’m hand quilting and need a thimble to protect my finger. I can’t use normal thimbles but the clover ones I can become they have a soft silicone cover which I hardly notice on my finger. The metal end tip catches the needle in the right place, and with the dimpled base, the needle sits in the right place for how ever you sew. I have tried so many different plastic and metal thimbles, but I can only ever get on with the clover variety. Please note with the clover thimbles that they come in different colours. The colours represent different finger sizes. I have an average size fingers so the pink one does me fine. I do find if I’ve been stitching for hours, the silicon becomes even softer and a bit bigger on my fingers, also the same if I’m stitching outside in hot weather, but I can still use it, it’s not such a snug fit which I like.

Size Guide here, read on 👉👉
If you are wondering what size thimble to order (the large or the medium,) on the packet of my (large) thimble there is a 17.5mm diameter hole cut into the cardboard and this is exactly the same size of the thimble. So, you can draw a circle on paper that is 17.5mm across (diameter,) cut it out and poke your finger in to check if it goes in nicely or get 17.5mm of string or thread and make a loop and do the same. I am a man and it fitted me perfectly but it might be a little loose on a ladies finger. Or, even better, you could order both and return the one that you don't want. I am glad I ordered mine because it is really good quality and will last me for years. It doesn't make your finger sweaty either. Good luck!! 🙂👌👍

Usability
Comfortable and flexible silicone with metal tip that does a good job of protecting finger tip. I ordered the large but really need an ex large. ( which they don't make)

perfect for stitch-aholics like me
I bought this in May this year and it’s just starting to get to the point of looking to replace it. I’m an avid cross stitcher, I’m disabled and unable to work due to physical conditions, I’m mostly housebound and cross stitching is my way of coping, I do about 4-5 hours (spread across the day) every day, so I think this thimble has lasted well (plus my cat has taken a liking to it and thinks it’s a toy, when I wake in the morning I often find it in the middle of the floor). I can only use leather thimbles due to allergies and skin issues, I’ve tried many different types and this one is by far my favourite. The leather is the thickest I’ve come across, but no so thick as to prevent feeling what you’re holding, it’s soft but durable. The inside is kind of brushed (similar to suede) to make it more comfortable to wear, I suffer Erythromelalgia, a rare disorder which causes intense heat in my hands and feet, I worried that wearing a leather thimble would cause too much warmth in my finger which could result in pain, but I’ve had no issues with that, my finger doesn’t get hot or sweaty. I have tiny hands even for a woman and the small size is perfect, it stays on as long as I need without struggle and without being tight either, I have short nails and it comes down to just below the knuckle below the nail. The leather is stitched very well, there’s no signs at all of it coming apart, others I’ve tried are glued and fall apart in a month or two. There is no metal plate inside this like in others, but honestly I’ve had no issues with the needle piercing the leather until recently and I have some stubborn needles when my canvas is heavily stitched and I’m filling gaps. It has now gotten to the point where the area I use to push the needle has started to wear and with stubborn stitches the needle has gone through the leather a few times, but the leather is thick enough to slow the needle down so it’s not actually come into contact with skin yet, but it’s a matter of time at this point, that being said any material will show signs of wearing down and weakening after daily intense use so this shouldn’t be seen as a flaw, it’s just natural. For the occasional needle worker this thimble would last years, for those who stitch an hour or two after work, this thimble would likely last a few years, for those like me or professionals it will last 6-9 months which is much better than any of the others I’ve used (and I’ve tried A LOT). I highly recommend this to anyone who regularly works with needles (sewing not medical 😂)

Fabulous
Fabulous thimble. After trying so many different thimbles, I have finally found the perfect one! As someone with longer nails at times this is the best thimble on the market. Even without having long finger nails, it is comfortable to wear and does a great job. The only thimble I would use now and have repurchased already to have 2, one for a travel sewing case, so I’m never without one. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a thimble.

Would not buy again
When sewing for long periods of time, which I do because it brings enjoyment, the most important thing for me is to have a thimble that fits right and is not giving me issues that would discourage my sewing. I bought this, and the yellow one in the same brand and style, which is slightly smaller, to be sure to have a good fit. Still, the rubber at the bottom is a different experience, which I not always find is welcome. It makes my finger sweat slightly and it becomes sticky. I have dozens of thimbles around in my many sewing boxes, and I only reach for this one when I cannot find any better.

I recently began hand quilting and picked up embroidery again. This thimble fits me well based on measurement), and works well to protect fingertips, a bigger safey deal now as I deal with nerve issues & arthritis. I find it’s comfortable and allows me to work on my crafts for longer sessions.

OhMy! I have been sewing for many years. Thimbles and finding the “right one” have always been my nemeses…until now. This thimble is perfect. The construction is genius. The silicone top portion helps secure the thimble without slipping like metal thimbles, but it still has the metal end piece for pushing needles. Highly recommend you try this!
