do these run big or small? I am usually in-between a medium and large? Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend the large for freedom of movement. The medium ones are form fitting and restrictive on my 165 lb 5'8" frame.

How long are the medium? how long are the large? will they stay tucked in over my belly? (i'm 6'1", 230 lb, size 34 pants--vanity sizing, i'm sure…)

I'm 5'10 185 kinda top heavy in the chest. Not stomach. Med if your chest and arms are bit fuller, small if you are more petite. I'm not in the military, but I use them for the gym. Hope this helps.
