Illuminated Letters Sketchbook (Interactive Journal, Notebook)

I like it very much. It is very useful.

This is an awesome little book, with something for everybody in it. Lots of examples with copy spaces, and a range of small animals, dragons to use. In my case I am doing illuminated letters with a cat theme. We'll worth the money.

I love the look of this book. The cover invited me to open it, and the illustrations/examples inside are interesting. I felt that I should have a go of something straight away. I like the paper quality with the grids on it. I found it good with a fineliner pen and some good quality coloured pencils.

I love this book!!! anyone who is into Calligraphy or just wants to learn how to do illuminated letters this is a must! not only does it map each stage out, it encourages you to try making up your own designs. So many helpful tips all the way through and there is a 2-page graph spread and 2 designs for each letter, so you can follow along with the instruction of how to build up the design because it gives you lots of room to practice the drawings etc you can mix the designs around. Also more Graph pages in the back of the book for more of your own designs. Will most definitely be looking for more books from this author

It is more of a workbook but the illustration are way too small, as the book is A5 in size - it should have been made A4. Would not recommend purchase.

I attend a calligraphy class and have become very interested in illuminated lettering and bought this book to help. I found it very useful as I am a beginner as it takes you through the steps required but would be too simplistic for someone who is more knowledgeable.

Von jedem Buchstaben 2 Schreibvarianten und Detailinspirationen. Das Buch bietet genügend Platz zum üben und experimentieren. Das Buch war gut verpackt und es wurde schnell geliefert. Das Buch selbst wird von einer Folienverpackung zusätzlich geschützt.

An excellent little book, easy to follow and very portable.

This book provides beautifully detailed illuminated letters. Each letter starts with a vivid, full color, final letter in the upper left quadrant. Then paired down step-by-step progressions ending with a blank quad for me to draw. See uploaded photos. All pages are grid paper to help with proportions. There are sidebar details of the fine features. Most letters have two variations. This is appropriate for tweens, teens, and adults. If you buy it for a kid, they need to be very detail focused to enjoy this book. Just beautiful!
