I use it every day, you can easily use it while watching TV, reading or any other activity while sitting, I use it while sitting in a low reclining arm chair or sitting on a chair at the dining table. What I like about it, it's a gentle exerciser that gets your joints moving and your blood circulating. The foot pads are designed so you don't need to strap your feet on although there are slots if you need to. I've tried other pedal exercisers but found they only work if you are sitting on a dining type chair and you need to strap them on or you end up chasing them across the floor.
