This is a must have book that everyone in cybersecurity should have in their library. The only question I have is, why did it take so long for someone to write this book? OTW walks the beginner through network basics and network analysis but rapidly progresses to the various protocols such as DNS, ARP, SMTP, SMB and their vulnerabilities. He also walks the reader through building instances of those protocols in Linux such as a exim4 SMTP server or a BIND server. Finally, he explains the intricacies of such important but little understand networks such as SCADA/ICS, Radio Frequency, and Automobile Networks. The chapters on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi hacking are worth the price of the book alone. This book is probably the best coverage of those two wireless technologies on the market today.
