Works well
Package arrived in good condition. Easy to install (If install on granite countertop, just affix the brackets directly to cabinet, no need to order anything special). Cooks well. Only unexpected: the timer is just a timer - it does not turn off power to stove.

Unreliable Product, Awful Service
The first time I had burners go out was two months after purchase. Frigidaire would not RMA a new unit. Therefore, even though it was under warranty, it took 2 months to get repaired. One year and 6 months in, two of the 4 burners went out. Out of warranty. This is a cooktop that can only have manufacturer's defects; it is completely sealed so there is nothing I could have done to cause the problem. On hold for an hour or so for Frigidaire service. Had to prepay $120 and wait 3 weeks for an appointment to have a tech come diagnose (all electronic, only one thing it can be). When asked if this was a common problem techs said said it's new technology and unreliable. I don't agree, but Frigidaire is starting to make me question myself. They ordered the parts I pressed Frigidaire to stand by their product and got them to cover the parts, but had to prepay another $180 for the installation. Another 3 weeks before an appointment was available. Day of appointment I had a 4 hour window, no show, no notice. Another hour on hold to be told the appointment was canceled because one of three parts hadn't arrived. Was told parts were prepped to ship and when they arrived I would be contacted to make an appointment for installation. Out $300, going on 2 more months without a cooktop, and no idea when it will be repaired. Love it when it works, but in my experience, either this produce was not ready for distribution, or I got a lemon and Frigidaire won't stand by their product. This is their top end cooktop and if this is the way they treat their customers, I will never buy one again.

Great, Reasonably Priced Induction Stovetop that Replaced a MUCH More Expensive One
This stove top replaced a very expensive JennAir that I got when I remodeled my kitchen 10 years ago. The JennAir was very nice but it had touch slides to control the heat, which I never fully liked and people who didn't use the stove daily (like my husband and kids) really never got the hang of. I picked this stove top because it had handles, was not full of functions that I never used and was very reasonably priced. I was not happy with the reviews this had gotten on Amazon, but there were so few choices for induction stove tops with knobs that I went to websites for stores where people were taking them home themselves rather than having them shipped. I found that the reviews on those websites were much more favorable. I wanted to get on Amazon because it was substantially cheaper there at the time. So much cheaper that I decided that the reason for lower ratings on Amazon must have been because of the sometimes careless handling of large heavy packages when they are shipped. I bought the insurance (which I NEVER do because it's really just up-selling in most cases) to cover any problems that may have been caused by shipping. It was still much cheaper on Amazon. I've been using for around nine months and I have NO regrets. It is a little bit easier to scratch than my original JennAir, so I'm more careful moving round heavy pots and since my initial scratch have gotten no more. It actually resists stains better than the JennAir did. It does buzz a little bit louder than my JennAir when on, but not enough to bother me and certainly not enough to even hear if the stove fan is on, which it generally is when I cook. I love my new stove top and the little things that people mentioned as flaws are not really a big deal when you consider that it replaces a top that was MANY times more expensive and far less user-friendly.

Great so far
Came packaged well and intact. The induction itself is definitely a large improvement from a standard electric stove, it heats incredibly fast. Also the simultaneous 2 stove feature when using a long pan allows you to cook multiple items at once. Very happy with the stove. But with anything and especially new technology, we have to see how it's long term reliability works out. Although I didn't, perhaps getting insurance isn't a bad idea. This was also a lot cheaper than getting from the Frigidaire website. The only thing you would want to consider is they do install for another $170 or so. I did this myself and it is pretty easy to do, just be careful when placing it in the stove top cut out, use wood across the opening and gently lower in. Oh yeah, the directions when putting it into a granite counter top tell you to buy this unbelievably over priced installation kit. Just source the glue on Amazon and use the part that originally came. Good luck!

Terrible manufacturing Quality Control
Purchased as NEW, It arrived on time and there was no apparent damage to the shipping box, When unpacked and installed there was no apparent cosmetic damage. After installation it became apparent one of the Large burners was not operating properly. Called Frigidaire customer service. Had to explain the problem 3 times before getting someone to dispatch a repairman. The repairman came and disassembled the unit only to discover the Burner in question was not mounted in its proper position and was floating around inside. The tab that was supposed to hold it in place is missing. Quite obviously an assembly problem NOT a shipping or installation problem. Multiple parts were floating around in the chassis. By the time the tech left, even less of it was working and now they want us to wait around for days longer while they try to replace parts one after the other to get it running. WAY wrong answer. I paid for a new, working induction stove top, I don't have one, I continue to be without what I paid for. I gave the warranty service a shot to fix it. It's worse now than before. It's time to pull the trigger on a replacement or a refund.
