Very good grip and the microphone is very good and clear giving you some great frequency response. I do alot of video work for weddings and the venues I shoot in often has very loud music and this mic works a treat. It makes the sound, sound full and not like a cheap tin sound. The battery lasts forever in mine and in 6 months have only changed them once. The build quality is very sturdy and has a nice ballance to it as you mount the camera in various positions overall its a good product and am happy with it. It did not fit on my tripod but with a little modification it does now. I had to hacksaw the feet off this and am happy now

It had to go back.There was an issue with quality control.
