This was a lot of fun to use. We had ordered smash-eggs from bakeries in the past but couldn't find any this past Easter season so I ordered this! I think the hardest part was tempering the chocolate. As long as you get the chocolate right this is super easy to use. I like the silicone better than the hard plastic type because you can peel it off the egg shell as opposed to trying to shake/wiggle it out. It was a good size for our young children - if you have older kids I'd maybe make them each their own. Washed fine on top rack of our dishwasher.

Very easy to use and the egg was easy to come out wothout it breaking. Teen Daughter had a blast breaking it to get her cake. Would recomened to everyone.

I was really excited when I got this because my grandson wanted a big dinosaur egg on his birthday cake. Everything went smoothly until I put the two halves together. They didn’t fit. One half was bigger than the other. I had to melt more chocolate and patch the two parts together. Didn’t look perfect but will have to do as I didn’t have time to return and exchange. If you buy, put the two halves together to make sure they are the same size. I didn’t check before I went to use it.

This silicone egg was not two specifications. I wanted it for homemade fudge. So I put made the homemade fudge put it in the egg it hardens within 20 seconds, and it was terrible to take out. It all broke apart, thus depleting the idea of having a chocolate fudge eggTerrible to clean. I would not buy again. I waited too long to get reimbursement so now I’m stuck with two silicone half eggs , that don’t do anything for me.
