Review: Excellent alternative to the standard LG TV remote - Having discovered that it is possible to partly watch a streamed film on my LG WeboS TV and come back to the last viewed position a day or so later to watch the rest I decided to buy a "Magic" remote. The one supplied is IMO pretty awful, the button lay out is not easy to use and I frequently press the wrong button and start up Disney or some other channel. Accessing the menu system is a bit of a nightmare too. On this Remote, the buttons for these extra channels are nicely tucked away from the main buttons at the bottom. I got a warning that the pointer on this remote may not work with my model because it did not have Bluetooth. It does and the pointer works. It is now a joy to watch the LG and Rakuten TV Channels. Pity a similar device wasn't provided with the TV, the one supplied is so bad I stopped using it and only watched Sky. The Magic Remote fits in my hand nicely, has a good feel to it and the buttons are much better than the original. Basic functions worked out of the box and it paired 1st try to my TV. The pointer movement can be a bit erratic and takes some time to get used to it. Very pleased with my Magic Remote. Review: Good replacement remote so far - Very first impressions, (only been using for 1 minute at this time), but working well right out of the box. Like for Like appearance and function of the samsung remote it's replacing, just that the original remote only seems to intermittently work unless I pop the batteries out, and back in again, even new batteries. The shortcut buttons replace the sports, extra and info buttons, which is fine by me because I don't really use them anyway. There are a couple of comments I'm a bit sceptical of: one such claims that the remote takes aa batteries, and that the battery cover was bulging out when fitted, but no, the remote takes aaa batteries, which would explain the bulging cover. Oh, and just to clarify: it IS a SAMSUNG remote. (See image). The left is the original, the right is this one. ## Features - Compatible with all Samsung remote controls Smart TVs Led Qled Uhd Frame Curved Hdtv 3D 4K 8K. - Compatible section Models: BN59-01175N BN59-01199F AA59-00741A AA59-00786A AA59-00602A BN59-01247A AA59-00743A BN59-01175B AA59-00818A AA59-00603A BN59-01199G AA59-00622A AA59-00496A AA59-01180A BN59-01268D AA59-00666A AA59-01289A AA59-00600A - Farther transmitting distance, stable performance. Works fine out the box. Didn’t need pairing. You’d be hard pressed to tell the difference in the hand. No problems with the battery cover. A good buy. ## Frequently Bought Together - Replacement for Samsung TV Remote,Universal for Samsung Smart TV Remote Controls, with Teletext Button - Duracell Plus AAA Batteries (12 Pack) - Alkaline 1.5V - Up To 100% Extra Life - Reliability For Everyday Devices - 0% Plastic Packaging - 10-Year Storage - LR03 MN2400 - Original SKY Q Voice Remote Control - Compatible with Sky Q 1TB or 2TB box plus the Mini box - black - SKY135 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/50763474-for-samsung-tv-remote-replacement-for-samsung-smart-tv-remote](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/50763474-for-samsung-tv-remote-replacement-for-samsung-smart-tv-remote) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
