First off, if you're having trouble squeezing it through the tube after a while, cut the plastic end piece further down for a wider hole and put a small amount of water in the tube, problem solved. I’ve gone through quite a few wood fillers over the years, and this one has easily become my go-to. The Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler in the 6 oz tube is incredibly reliable, especially for the kind of work I do—filling hardware holes in dressers during furniture flips. First off, the consistency is perfect. It’s smooth and easy to apply right out of the tube, which makes it super convenient when you’re working on multiple holes or detailed areas. It spreads cleanly without crumbling or feeling too watery, so you can really pack it into hardware holes and get a solid, even fill. One thing I really appreciate is how well it dries. It hardens nicely without shrinking or cracking, which is a huge deal when you're covering old knob or handle holes—you don’t have to keep reapplying layers. Once it’s dry, it sands down beautifully to a smooth, seamless finish that blends right into the surface of the dresser. It also takes paint exceptionally well. After sanding, I’ve never had issues with uneven texture or weird color absorption. Whether I’m painting light or dark finishes, the filled spots disappear completely, which is exactly what you want when restoring or updating furniture. The squeeze tube packaging is another win—it keeps things clean and controlled, and you don’t waste product like you sometimes do with tubs. Not easy to apply on a vertical repair job. It was to a very large painted wood post in our home. Yet, it is great on a flat horizonal surface and applies like any wood putty. It dries like a rock, so I assume all of the sites promises about holding a nail is accurate. Very very low odor.

Once dried, it stays put well. I even cut a filled piece of trim in the miter saw. Patch didn’t chip, but I expected to. Shapes easily with a popsicle stick, or similar tooling. For reduced waviness, leave it slightly proud of the wood and sand flat, once set.

Fills in well but extremely hard to squeeze. I would only recommend for small spot work or you'll cramp your hands...unless ofcourse you have the grip strength of a gorilla lol

This wood filler was terrible! It was so dry that I had to smash it on with my fingers and hope it would stick. Much of the time it would fall off and since I was working outside it would fall into the dirt and I could not pick it up and try to use it again. I'm not sure if I got a bad one or if this is how it always is but the tube I got was horrible and I would NOT recommend it to anyone. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Works really well. Drying time good and creates a sturdy bond.

I bought Gorilla Wood Filler to fix a small dent in my coffee table. What I didn’t expect was for it to become a core part of my personality. First of all, this stuff is THICC. I opened the tub and felt like I was about to frost a cake made of sawdust and broken dreams. I slapped it on that dent like I was Picasso with a putty knife. Smooth as butter, dries like concrete, and sands down like a gentle whisper from a lumberjack. Not only did it fill the hole in my table, it filled the hole in my heart. I’ve since filled every ding, dent, and questionable crevice in my house. Door frames? Filled. Baseboards? Smooth as a baby’s forehead. My neighbor’s fence? Let’s just say it’s now 20% wood filler and 80% spite. I briefly considered trying it on a chipped tooth but decided I wasn’t ready to become legally immortal. Final verdict: 5/5 stars. If wood filler could get a driver’s license, I’d let this stuff take my car for a spin.

Does not apply easily and when it dries the majority falls out off the surface.

Having read the reviews I thought it was going to be toothpaste smooth, or at least not as dry and could be rather powdery/flakey. When dry they are quite easy to sand and stick around quite well. Overall, 4-star is fair.
