Truly excellent bit of kit
I had several branches of some trees to cut down so ordered this for the job. Nice bit of kit that comes in a good strong bag. 3 saw blades, a cutter and several poles. A lot of poles, too many for my needs but better to have that than not enough for your reach. I fixed 3 of the extended poles together, nice and tight so it was fairly rigid. I have to say it was easy to use and I had 4 branches down in no time. I then removed the blade and used the cutter. A bit fiddly at first using the pull cord but soon got used to it. Very sharp blade and it did the job great. Overall good quality item. Very pleased with this purchase.

Branch pruner saw
Brilliant quality, each section locks into place easily the design is very cleverly done , the weight does get heavier the more sections that you put on so if your doing very high up branches probably better to have someone help, the thickness of each sections is the same as to stop it from bending the higher up you go , I cannot fault this product money well spent .

Really really good
This is excellent. Easy to assemble. It's an extendable pole of up to 6 metres, so it becomes slightly bendy under the weight, and it needs re-tightening occasionally, but this is to be expected. However the weight works with you by adding pressure/force to cut the high up branches. I'm really impressed. The size and length are better than I expected. Really good product.

All you need for tree maintenance! ...
All you need for tree maintenance! ... I'm very impressed with this kit which I have used to maintain the overhang of high trees in our garden. It is easy to use but, obviously, the more extension poles you put on, the more difficult it becomes to control. I find the putting the pole between my feet on the floor and knees helps to keep it steady. The cutter is very capable of cutting branches at height (but be very careful of them falling onto your head)! I have not used the saw yet but it seems to be of excellent quality as is the whole kit. I am very pleased I bought this and can see it being useful for many years to come.

Great value for money, that has transformed my garden.
This has been such an asset for cutting down over hanging branches from neighbours trees. The blade slices through quite large branches and there is a spare. I am a 60 plus female and have found this tree pruner very useable.

Excellent tool
I bought the 8m(26ft) version which comes with 8 x 1m extensions. And having disposed of 11 limbs of various sizes in <2hrs, I am very pleased with my purchase. I used 5, 6 & 7 for various branches from ~1" upto over 4" and it made very quick work of them all. Maybe 5 minutes of cutting for the largest; and much of that was me taking a few seconds rest between bursts of sawing. (I'm 66y/o) It gets heavy and bendy; but if the made it less bendy it would be heavier; and if they made it lighter it would be more bendy. I think they got the balance spot on. The hardest part of using it is guiding the blade to a suitable place to cut. The length, weight and wobble make it tricky to position but once done the cutting is relatively simple and very efficient. (Quicker than my bow saw by a good margin.) The trick is to get the blade into the crook of a V and let the side of the blade run against the minor limb as you cut the main branch. Takes a couple of attempts to get the knack, but get easier with practice.

Effective but heavy
I like the saw and shear combination. Gets to bits that others can not. Initial reaction is good but having been working in the rain I was disappointed to find the bag was not waterproof and its dye gets on your hand. The saw blade is replaceable by undoing wing nuts. These can loose after a few minutes use. There were no washers fitted so tightening was not fully effective. Having pointed out some negatives I was really pleased at being able to prune an overhanging tree. The weight is not too bad as when cutting the blade is resting on the wood.

It really works
So far I’ve used it to about 21feet as this was sufficient for my needs. It’s been surprisingly good for the money. The secateurs also work well but it can be hard to see what you are cutting at that height. The saw is excellent and once you start the cut it can get through thick branches very well. Only complaint so far is that a retaining pin in the top section is loosening so I’ll have to fix that. I’d recommend checking the sections regularly as you cut to ensure they don’t unscrew as you cut. Also be careful with the length, so you don’t hit obstructions or drop the pole as you work. Also let the saw do the cutting, don’t put pressure on the pole as it will obviously bow if you force it too much. I also make sure to clean and oil the metal parts to prevent rust in storage. It’s good!
