Q: Does this set come with the control tap?

The head has a on/off water trigger attached connected the flexible pipe. No control ‘tap’ as such.

Q: Do you need to turn off the water after each use? Or is it ok to leave the water at the tap on?

It's best to turn it off as noticed the pressure of water which one can't control as it comes from mains, the joints of the flexi pipe starts to leak and eventually break apart. I have ordered 6 times in past and have faced similar issue again. Its hard to belive on grohe which should be high quality but seems like they are not built to last long enough.

You need a thermostatic mixer valve with hot and cold input then you can connect you douche to the outlet
