I bought it to be able to move the bulb from inside the garage door opener to a better spot for better visibility and it was perfect for it.

I ordered this to put a light on my front porch. I have trouble reaching the light on the wall. Once this is fastened into that socket, The other end with the bulb is easily changed or moved.

Gets the job done. The socket needed modification for all three bulbs I had. The rubber end of socket is too deep and binds on bulb. Had to take a box cutter and trim off.

I wanted a lightbulb extender long enough to loop over my garage rafters. I used the six foot length. It was perfect and did not need any other fasteners. Works great. My garage is way lit upon entry. Can keep it on for extended in garage use. My neighbors are lining up to duplicate. The price was right. Local hardware stores did not even know what a light bulb extender was. The LED bulbs fit right in where I removed a small bulb.

Like others say, the fixture has way too much rubberized plastic to fit a normal bulb into the socket. I simply put small vertical cuts all around the opening plastic and it made a nice weatherized covering! These worked great as an easy way to “move” a fixture without electrical work.

socket end of the extender is too deep preventing 2 out of the 3 bulbs tried from seating properly. Most bulbs make contact with the plastic shroud wall before screwing all the way in.Will not work with the 100W incandescent bulb that was originally in the socket this adapter was attached to nor the E26/E27 base LED lamp here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BD772SK3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1. It did work with a small 40w incandescent bulb.

3 stars only because the rubber casing around the female end was too long and not wide enough for the bulb to fit. I probably could have fit the bulb in with some force, but instead I trimmed it off. Designer should test with standard American bulbs.

Helpful to wrap the light around an exterior wall so I didn’t need to drill through the wall.
