To small for the space I wanted to light up! Otherwise, product looks awesome!

This is beautiful but does require expensive 50W halogen bulbs, these are the two-prong variety which turn and lock into place. These bulbs are bright and very hot. I had one new bulb burn out within a few days and probably less than a dozen hours (maybe the fault of the bulb) but another bulb burned out a couple of weeks ago, again too soon. Don't know if these bulbs are the issue or if there is some defect in the fixture. The bulbs were in different sockets. But those bulbs are expensive! This fixture did turn out to be smaller in length than I needed for my kitchen, that is my only regret. But the rustic charm of the design is very appealing. Can get a bit hot in the summer, though, because of those bulbs.

In spite of the other bad reviews, I decided to give this a try, as I really liked the look of this light set. It's really not very well made....the lights are not direct-able. They just fall back down when you point them in a direction. Definitely NOT worth the price. I returned mine and got a quick refund from Amazon.

I love the look of this fixture when it is off. Very SteamPunk. It's in my old Craftsman, and has a nice retro look. But the halogen lights just blast your eyeballs. So if you use them directionally, as I thought I would, when you walk into the room and it's pointing your way, or you are working at the sink and turn around... OW! On the other hand, if you want good lighting at a table, and the fixture is directly above, it looks great and gives very good light. How often do you look straight up when you are sitting at the table? You don't. It's when the lights are angled that I don't like it. So over a table, for a meal with lots of light, or a homework space or other project space, it's great. I'm going to also try a halogen compatible dimmer, and see if when you want more "romantic" lighting, if you can turn it down a bit and feel cozier, less like you need shades.
