Used this kit to clean up an injector seat on a BMW N47 diesel. The 15 x 19 cutter fitted correctly and the tool ultimately did the job. The injector now seals properly again with a new copper washer. For context, the injector was chuffing and leaking visible diesel spray into the engine bay, which was bad enough to stink the cabin out. Once removed, it was clear the seat was in poor condition and needed a fair amount of cutting. I’ve included a photo of the old copper washer to show how pronounced the worn sealing path was, along with before and after shots of the injector seat. The main thing to be aware of is alignment. The cutters are secured with a single grub screw and the tolerances aren’t perfect, so when tightened they don’t always sit perfectly square on the mandrel. If you’re not paying attention, it can start cutting unevenly rather than flat against the seat. The best approach is to have the grub screw just tight enough to stop the cutter rotating on the shaft, but with enough freedom to allow it to settle square in the bore as you begin cutting. Take your time and check your progress rather than trying to remove too much material at once. The cutters themselves aren’t especially sharp, so expect to use more turns and a bit more pressure than you might expect. The finish isn’t a perfect machined surface either, slightly scratchy rather than polished, but it was still more than good enough to restore a proper seal. I packed the cutter with grease before use to catch swarf and stop debris falling into the engine, which worked well. Overall, this isn’t an expensive tool and the quality reflects that. It worked for my use case, but I’d only recommend it for occasional jobs or if you’re on a budget. For regular use, it’s worth buying something better.

Did a great job on Transit mk7 2.4 engine. Sprayed brake cleaner down injector bores after reeming, nice shiny & clean. Used a 19mm socket on a T bar to use tool, doesn't need a lot of pressure. Clean the tool teeth regularly to remove carbon. Quality tool.

Per quello che ho pagato ha fatto il suo lavoro. Più che altro pulisce bene, ma non taglia la sede in alluminio.

Bisogna considerare che le frese non sono di buona qualità ma il porta frese è ottimo, questo utensile nella versione professionale costa uno sproposito per cui suggerisco di comprare questo per il porta frese è poi delle frese buone a parte. Il problema con queste frese è che spesso la sede non viene rettificata bene.
