Clean, degrease, bevel, and you'll get a good strong weld. Don't do the previous, and your weld will failohhh, yes, preheat the work piece, to a cherry Red, and allow to cool SLOWLY, preferably covering in sand, faI lure to do either will usually result in cracks, unless you do small bead welds instead of longer runs.all in all a good rofm not too expensive and gives good results but advised to weld with cast outside of with good extraction, as fuming is heavy ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ there was no cracking on cooling and they made a good strong repair *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 January 2015* Very impressed - used for cast iron railings and also some cast steel. It was very successful, the metal flowed well, there was no cracking on cooling and they made a good strong repair.
