Remington Balder Pro Replacement Head for XR7000 Head Shaver

I replaced the head after 1 year. I dropped and broke the original head after 1 year use....it still worked fine up to that point generally but i had to shave a little longer than when it was new. I can say the replacement cut better than original, so I probably should have replaced it before I broke it anyway. This thing keeps the dome chrome my friends. Purchase and enjoy is my recommendation. "Who loves ya baby" <<<google that phrase for me wont'cha unless you already get it. ;) you'll smile promise.

So, my husband had used the same head for about a year or two, then it got boxed away for about two years. Well, he used it again for about a year, and the blades got very dull. We ordered a replacement head that was cheaper and it was awful, so after about a month of my husband complaining and me telling him to buy a new head, I ordered these. It was so worth it to spend more on a better product! No more razor burn, no more gping over and over and over again, super easily cleanable like the original, it cuts the shaving time to a third of the time... trust me, order this. You WILL NOT regret it! One shave can last time two days. (He is military and has to keep it short and shaved) Bye bye skin irritation, and hello speedy shave time!

The original blades on the Balder Pro worked great. What little hair I have left is on the thinner side and it cut right through it with ease. The originals lasted about a year before I felt like they were needing to be replaced. These replacement blades just never felt like they worked as good as the originals and after about 6 months of use, they already feel like they need to be replaced. They don't even sound the same as the originals. If someone told me these were knockoffs of the original blades, I would totally believe it. As longas I shave every 2-3 days, they work ok. If I wait until 4 days have passed, it's a little painful and takes a long time. Even still, they don't seem to shave as closely as the original blades did.

You can buy cheaper non-brand replacement heads, but in my experience they dull much faster. Spending a little more on the Remington is well worth it. I have the XR7000 and have been using this replacement head for 10 months. It is still just as good as it was on day one. I shave my head 2 to 3 times a week, and I clean the head and oil the blades after every shave. I followed that same routine with the generic heads, and they still dulled much faster. I would have needed to replace a generic at least once by now. As for the shave itself, a razor is closer. After a razor shave, I can't feel any stubble when I run my hand against the grain, but with this shaver I can. Visually, though, the two look the same, and the shaver is much faster, with far less cleanup and no nicks or cuts. I also get no skin irritation or razor burn. I tend to press down harder than I need to, but I've tried it with minimal pressure and the shave is just as close, so there's no need to bear down. I will definitely be buying another one in the next few months. If you have the XR7000, stick with the brand name. Trust me, the extra money is worth it.

It's a factory replacement head, no issues. Shaves close and I get roughly 7 or 8 months out of one.

I LOVE My Remington Balder Pro. Only a blade can give me a closer shave. I get 6 - 8 Great Months of shaves from these heads before I feel the need to change them, and I'm O.K. with the price of these replacement heads. I follow the maintenance guide and I deep-clean them with hot soapy water & lube them with mineral oil after each use. If they ever go on sale - I'll be stocking up for sure! Perfect Balder Replacement Heads. Glad I can get them from Amazon now. Highly Recommended.

I use the Remington head shaver every day. Have been using the original head assembly for well over a year & now recently replaced the head assembly. It fits & works as good as the original. Very happy with the purchase.
