My initial review was because of the terrible instructions and the small photos they supply to put this together. I ended up sending it back because it looked like puzzle pieces. Since I wrote my first review, the company has reached out to me and said they are updating their instructions to include a online video. I was told that their production company is working on the instructions and they will get it done asap. I was very surprised that the company reached out to me regarding my first review. They said They are doing everything to make it right. Unfortunately, I had already sent the item back. The item itself looked well made and heavy duty, was just lacking good instructions on how to put it together. I give the item itself 5 stars. Hopefully the instructions get better as the company has stated. This item is a joke. Worst instructions ever. Just shows small pictures. Does not tell you where to place screws, or how to put together. I'm not drilling holes in my wall not knowing how this garbage goes together. The hardware for doors seems heavy duty. The railing that is in 5 different pieces seems like light weight junk. It's not one solid piece, so you better make sure you get it straight and level all the way across. Not sure this is worth the price they are selling it for. I'm returning my item. I can't rate the sturdiness because it never got installed. Easy install is a joke.

I recently purchased this product as a solution to the recurring issue of our closet doors constantly falling off the typical top-mounted closet door track. Let me start by saying that the materials used are exceptionally sturdy - the heavy metal pieces clearly indicate durability and longevity. The design of the product is ingenious in theory and seems like an ideal solution. However, achieving the desired result requires a significant amount of effort. While the mostly pictogram instructions provide some guidance, they necessitate strong interpretation skills and a knack for creative problem-solving, particularly when encountering installation challenges due to less than ideal conditions. For installation required tools, I utilized a 7/8 spade bit for drilling holes for the bracket bolts, a 5/8 drill bit to predrill the track bolts, a ratchet set, a phillips head screw driver, a cordless drill, a tape measure, a 3-foot level, and a small square wood block. It's worth noting that these tools were not explicitly mentioned anywhere in the installation instructions. While the pictures demonstrate the use of a drill, a level, and a plumb bob, the extremely minimal textual guidance could be improved. Additionally, it's important to mention that this product may not be compatible with hollow-core doors, as it's best suited for solid wood closet doors. I attached the product to solid-core paneled closet doors, and one thing to be mindful of is that the middle two brackets require a 1 3/8" space from the edge of the door panel for proper attachment. If this space is not available due to panel depression, improvisation may be necessary. In hindsight, opting for flat, non-paneled doors might have been a better choice. The top track comes in 12" sections that need to be connected with round "grommets." Assembling the track can be challenging due to the snug fit of the grommets, requiring careful hammering with the wood block to avoid bending them. Additionally, it's worth noting that the short pieces of the track should be placed on the outside for smoother wheel movement along the track length, although this detail is not explicitly specified in the instructions. As someone who is NOT particularly mechanically inclined, nor a "handyman" type (think "more of a techy kind of guy"), this project proved to be quite challenging and time-consuming. Factors such as a non-square closet due to house settling and issues with bracket fitting due to panel depression added to the difficulty. However, despite the setbacks, I eventually succeeded in hanging my closet doors, and they now open and close quietly. While I'm satisfied with the end result and the product's performance, I would likely opt to hire someone with legit handyman/carpenter skills for installation if I were to purchase it again. The primary materials' strength is commendable, but the installation process would have been less frustrating with professional assistance, especially considering the unexpected challenges encountered. **UPDATE** DUE TO EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, I AM RECONSIDERING MY STAR RATING TO 5 STARS! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY BUY THIS AGAIN!

They work and look great. Installation was a little tricky looking at the tiny pictures, but YouTube saved the day and now they look great!

The directions are ridiculous. If you have handyman skills, you will most likely choose an alternate method to mount this hardware method of anchoring using wooden dowels, hammered into the wall and then drilling a lag bolt seems unnecessarily involved and not the best way to secure. Suggestion: have printed directions to go with the cryptic images and possibly a video. The hardware seems nice but I would not attempt without above average diy skills as you may have to go off script to install.

Edit: The bar has been holding up and I have received so many compliments on this system I think I am going to purchase another one to put in my son’s room. I would have given this 5 stars if the bar wasn’t so difficult to install in fact I couldn’t even put it together the “correct” way. The bar is like a puzzle piece that you put together then in the middle of that you have to hammer in this small piece (dont know the name of it) but reminds me of a raised washer and that is what makes the bar come together as one long piece, one side went in great but when it was time to hammer in the other side I couldn’t get it in, matter of fact three different people tried and the whole just wasn’t big enough (maybe a defect, idk) so I just assembled one side of the bar and then put the puzzle piece together on the other side and screwed the screw really tight (fingers crossed that it works out) but this thing literally took me about 5 hours to put together trying to read the directions because it was literally all pictures 😩 but I love the end result and hopefully that piece doesn’t fall because if it does then im going to call for a replacement part

Like many of the reviews here I’ll agree that this is a good door. Looks good, works good. But the installation can be challenging. Especially if you don’t have experience with such things. I took one star off my review for the rail mounting solution provided. They give you wooden dowel pins that you’re meant you put in the drywall and screw into. This is irresponsible and potentially actionable. You DEFINITELY want to mount the rail into the studs. And frankly I chose to put a mounting board across the top of the door way since all of the weight of the door will be on the rail. I knocked off a second star simply for the flippant inclusion of 7 mm anchors for the pivot pins. If you’re like me and putting this in tile or stone a 7mm masonry bit is no small thing, many of us don’t have just laying around. I had to spend $20 on a kit to get one. I will mention don’t be a dummy like me and try to eyeball the placement of the anchors. Definitely take the time and use The plumb bob as recommended in the instructions. So excellent kit. Looks good, works good but you will need additional things.

First let me explain why I choose these doors. We added a small bathroom to our master bedroom. Because it was an addition our very best solution for a door was a barn door. Once that was done I decided to change our closet doors to these bi-fold barn doors to make a cohesive look. The hardware arrived in a very small box, which was surprising, but the rail is broken into several pieces that connect together to make it full length. Great for shipping. Now, the instructions are horrible and I mean horrible! I am pretty handy and do a lot of DIY projects around my house. I must have read these 200 times and was still lost. Luckily I found a You-Tube video of 2 ladies installing the same band but for a single bi-fold door. I have 2 closets, each with 2 bi-fold doors, so a little different but essentially the same. Thank goodness I found this video or I’m pretty sure I would have returned them. Problems I still ran into, I wasn’t using my thinker and didn’t take down the door trim at the top of closet, instead we mounted the hardware above the trim piece. Once installed when we went to hang the doors, they hung too high, leaving a huge gap at the bottom. So, had to take it down, remove trim, fill holes and reinstall at the correct height. Second, we used hollow doors because they were so much cheaper than a solid door. Hollow doors do NOT allow for any mistakes when you drill the holes for the hardware. One of the holes was too big, which allowed the hardware to sag and there was no way to fix it, we had to trash that door and go buy a replacement. Next problem, neither the instructions or video explained the placement of the hanging mounts (on the actual door) should not be at the very edge of the door if you are doing double bi-folds because they will end up too close to each other where they meet in the middle of the rail. Lastly, like most houses in Florida, our foundation is a concrete slab. We have wood floors on top of the slab throughout the house. The floor mount, to keep the doors in place, is supposed to be screwed into the floor. This proved to be impossible with the concrete under the wood. I ended up using super strong Gorilla glue and glued the floor mount directly onto the floor. Yes, most of the problems I ran into were not directly related to the hardware itself but 100% they were due to the lack of and hard to understand instructions provided. In the end they turned out beautiful and I couldn’t be happier but this project is not for novice.

First of all, this is hardware, not doors. You need to buy or make your own doors! I was curious about using this hardware to make an eight panel folding/sliding door system for our laundry closet. I am very happy to say that it works, and works really well. I got the basic 4-panel hardware set, and added the extra roller set. The only thing I needed more of was the hinges, and this is where my experience with customer service came in. They made sure I was able to get enough matching hinges to complete the project. For 8 panels with 3 hinges it takes a total of 18 hinges. I received 9 hinges with the hardware packages and needed 9 more. The supplier made sure I received everything needed to complete the job. The door system covers an opening about 68 inches wide, so I built 8 doors that are each only 8-1/4 inches wide. The door panels on the outside left and right attach to the rail and to a post on the floor and only rotate, they don’t roll. The quality of the hardware components is much better than I expected, very sturdy and well-finished. I am very pleased that I found this hardware which allows me to complete this project.

First, I would suggest to measure properly the space needing coverage and the door used; it’s very clear with this brand which one is needed according to needs. Then, WATCH A TUTORIAL on youtube, as it will accelerate the installation process. Not that the instructions are not clear, but it was not as easy as we expected it would be 😅 Then, the result is stunning! Once the bar is set and installed, making the holes on the door was easy with the right drill bits. It slides very smoothly, quietly. It can be removed just by lifting, so I would not necessarily suggest it if you have young children. I got it on Black Friday sale at $125; now currently $197 for 4-doors.

Really like the product. It is sturdy, well made and does the job perfectly. In putting this together I lost a part. The small swivel at the base of the door side. Impossible to find anywhere. I tried to contact the vendor through Amazon and did not find how to do so.

Excellent product. Works perfectly. Make sure it is level (even if your old house isn't).
