There are some people that would be embarrassed to even say they even " liked " The Carpenters, BUT here's one for you... The late John Lennon has been quoted as saying: " That girl Karen Carpenter has the greatest female voice anywhere, pitch and tone perfect " So there you go. I have met people who " like " or " love " or actually " hate " the duo-group. Oh well, it's for sure A&M Records loved them, as did some of the 102 million folks who bought their products. For the money, it's a good compilation ( from A&M )

Calming
As I get older I'm appreciating music which I used to think was way too uncool to even consider. Hence listening to, and loving, The Carpenters, and Karen Carpenter's warm, beautiful voice. But the added bonus is that I find their music very calming, and I've had it on in the background whilst working all summer in my little cafe, trying not to feel too stressed by unmasked customers leaning in too close for comfort.....
