Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

Went to see this at the cinema, was slightly apprehensive as some sequels are pretty rubbish. Very impressed with this film though! my favourite character is Barry (The strawberry). Very good family film, and UV copy handy for on the road, out & about. The jokes are very similar to the first film in the way they're presented and the film had me laughing out loud in the cinema and watching it again at home. You do not need to watch the first one to understand what's going on in this film as they re-cap at the beginning of this film, but to get to know the characters and the town i recommend you watch the first one before this.

Fun film

it is a lovely family movie very funny and great in 3D... it is also wonderful how they pick up right from the first movie and makes for a wonderful follow up from a wonderful first movie I love the two movies and this is a great sequel unlike a lot where they do not live up to the first movie this is one of the few that does live up to it

This is a brilliant animation. The ideas were simply brilliant. I loved the Jurassic scenes. This is a film for all ages and this particular film is the best of the two. I would have given a perfect score except for one thing. In the closing credits there was a scene which depicted bull fighting. This kind of torture of animals for public pleasure carried out by sadistic vermin should not be depicted in this or any other way - I can see eyes rolling but even though the characters here are shown as veg the scene normalises this cruel practice and there was no reason to show it here. Other than that - brilliant.

I watched this film with my 6yr old daughter after we had watched the first one together the week before. I know they've been out for quite a while but never watched them. Good storyline, great characters and my 6yr old loved the food animals/characters and it was funny in parts. A must for families to watch together, highly recommended 😁

Grandson loved it

An OK film. First half a bit slow but increased in enjoyment over the 2nd half. Even my 9 year old daughter who insisted on watching it was not fully engaged in the first half. There are much better animation films which hook the whole family in for the duration. But it definitely had some good bits. Ok but not great.

I recently purchased the digital version of this film as it actually worked out cheaper than buying the DVD as my son recently watched the first film and wanted to see this second one. The film sees Flint Lockwood, Sam Sparks, Flint's Dad and some of his friends returning to Swallow Falls to recover the FLDSMDFR and destroy it after they are told that the machine has created monster Cheespiders (Cheese Burgers) who are learning to swim with the intention of swimming over to the mainland. When they arrive they discover that the FLDSMDFR has created a whole new world of food animals and that ultimately things may not be as they have first appeared. My son loves this film and has watched this a few times now with his little sister after watching the first film which we already own. Unlike some sequels this is actually really well written and funny. I believe that they may be releasing a third film hopefully this year and if so my son and I cannot wait to see it.

Excellent audio and video quality. Reccomended.

Wer sich hier über den Austausch einzelner Synchronsprecher aufregt und auslässt hat m.E. nicht richtig mitbekommen, worin es in dem Film eigentlich geht. Sorry, aber Sindy hin oder her, um sie geht es in dem Film nicht. Nein, der Film ist ganz offensichtlich eine Parodie von Steve Jobs und seinem Apple Imperium :-) und für mich somit ein "muss" für jeden Sony/Samsung/HTC/etc.pp. Fan und solche, die Apple für nicht ganz zu ernst nehmen. Ihr fragt Euch sicherlich Wieso ich darauf komme. Die Rolle des Chester V., eines diabolisch charismatischen CEO eines Mega High-Tech Imperiums, ist ganz klar an Steve Jobs angelehnt. Nicht nur die äußerliche Ähnlichkeit ist verblüffend ( bitte vergleicht diese Bilder: [...] und [...], sondern auch seine Liebe zu besonderen Kleidungsstücken. Was der Rollkragenpullover für Steve Jobs war, ist die Weste für Chester V. Und auch die Präsentation eines neuen Erfinder-Piloten im Film hätte keinen Vergleich einer Key-Note von Jobs scheuen müssen. Auch die Story erinnert nur zu sehr an den Apple Hype. Chester V. leitet ein Unternehmen das Hip und Cool ist, und das von allen geliebt wird. Er möchte ein neues Produkt raus bringen, dass ebenfalls von allen geliebt werden soll und schreckt dabei nicht zurück für die Produktion die friedvollen und niedlichen Bewohner einer Insel dafür zu opfern. .... Ich bitte Euch. Der Film ist für mich ein ganz klarer Seitenhieb von Sony gegen Apple, und allein deswegen ist er schon sehenswert und ein "muss". Einfach genial gemacht. Und nur ganz nebenbei: meinem 6 Jährigen Sohn hat er auch die Lachtränen in die Augen getrieben. :-) Auch ohne Apple oder Sony Background.

In this sequel the story picks up exactly where the first movie left off. They just stopped the flmdfsfr machine from dropping skyscraper size food. Thats how part 1 ended. However the flmsfsfr machine doesnt fully shut down properly and the government says everyone in swallow falls must leave their homes while the government cleans up their town to prevent further injury. But the government has other plans to use Flint Lockwood to search the now food infested jungle of Swallow falls to steal his invention the flmsfsfr machine. Before they had to deal with genetically mutated enlarged food. Now they are dealing with mutant living food. Do they eat or be eaten by the food to save Swallow falls? Again Flint needs to use a more powerful kill code to destroy the flmsfsfr machine. Or does he want to alow the mutant man eating food to live all the time? Find out when you order this great movie. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2. My only concern is wearing it out because my kids watch this over and over again. Really great sequel to the first movie. The little strawberry guy is real adorable. Man eating taco is real clever. I recieved this dvd in exelent condition. Im so glad we now can enjoy this movie as a family. Definately worth viewing with kids.
