Good choice
This is my first SatNav and I think I made a good choice. The screen is a decent size and is easy to follow. I loaded Mydrive on the computer and set up was fairly easy. The actual controls, i.e. putting in an address, are not totally intuitive and I struggled for a bit, but have got the hang of that now. Overall I am happy with this TomTom and feel it was a good choice for me.

Worthy Replacement
The mid range of TomTom satnavs so you get much more than the budget ones for very little extra. Very accurate navigation and the Traffic facility works when it diverted me from congestion ahead for a shorter journey time. Easy to set up including pairing the smartphone with Bluetooth and tethering the smartphone to it for getting the Traffic data. You don't have to worry about the maps being up to date as with lifetime updates they automatically update once you've downloaded and installed the MyDrive program onto a computer. The directions are very clear and concise but I did find that I had to turn up the volume from the default 50% to about 80% to hear it above the road noise and radio. You don't even need to touch it to do that, and other actions, as it has voice recognition to act on spoken commands, It took over from a ten year old TomTom One and I have to say there have been vast improvements during those intervening years. The only drawback is that it's been locked down by TomTom so you can't load your own colour schemes or a third party speed camera database as I did with the One. I'd definitely recommend this device as it has so far been very good so pleased with it.

A good product
I had a problem working out how to set up 'favourites', but finally worked it out. I've yet to use the device to navigate to a destination, so cannot comment upon its accuracy. Ease of use; see first paragraph. I've no idea of the battery life.

address not accurate
Bought this for few days, initially thought it comes with 3D view, BUT it doesn't! Sometime it hanged if clicking button too fast and need to force power off. And the worst was, I input the postcode for Homebase in North Finchley and then the door number "679" but Tomtom direct me to a WRONG place, if i input the postcode alone, it is fine. I thought input the exact door number will make it more accurate. I hope it won't happened in other places. I will try for few more days and places, if problem consist, i will return it. >:<

Good lightning deal!
Good value at the lightning deal price in December 2016. Bought to replace an ageing Medion / Navteq device. Came with free lifetime Europe maps and (if you are quick enough) 1 year free speed camera updates. In use the device is a big improvement on my previous, but needs Blue-Tooth connection to your phones internet access to make full use of the traffic information ability. Not sure of the value of this in Europe as data can be very expensive. However very satisfied with the functionality I am using.

Doesn't recognise a 2 year old post code!!!
I bought this device because the interface is a bit nicer than my old Garmin Nuvi, and was hoping that I'd get newer maps and more accurate driving instructions. I found the instructions unbearably complicated. All I wanted was for the device to update the maps so I could find my post code. Why was there not a simple instruction on how to update the maps? Go to a computer with a USB port, plug the device into it, download this stuff here... a simple link? No, I had to go through reams and reams of info before I got there. And then, I still couldn't find my home. The post code has already existed for two years and Royal Mail has recognised it for over a year. If this device can't find a new post code then what else can it not find? This is unbelievable rubbish. Now I'm sitting on a forum trying to get an answer, but thinking I'll just return it and carry on relying on the old Garmin until it drops dead. I spent a lot of money on something that doesn't even look and feel all that different from a ten year old device. I also spent a lot of time researching sat navs and trying to get one that's got web connection and life time updates so I don't have to keep buying them. This seemed like a reasonable option but I feel it's heavily overpriced for what you get. I'm so disappointed. Edit: I sent an e-mail and posted on TomTom forum, and waited from Friday to Monday afternoon to receive a response. I waited long enough and decided to return the gadget. Poor service on top of everything else is simply unacceptable.

Gets you there.
Easy to use sat Nav with good navigational guidance. I only use it occasionally but it suits my needs. The maps needed updating, which was easy enough to do on line, by following the instructions provided.
