Bagpipes SUREFIRE Synthetic Pipe Chanter Reed

The surefire synthetic pipe chanter reed, started off really well and kept a good tone. however, it didn't work well with my wooden pipe chanter but worked with the McCallum poly pipe chanter Perfectly. After a short time of playing, second song, it was cracking on the lower notes and started having trouble going from high to low notes. to make sure it wasn't user error I tried my canes reeds and had no problems. I would like to see where the manufacture takes this product in the future, this is my first synthetic bagpipe chanter reed and it was very interesting, and if the manufactures are reading this I would like to eventually see reeds that are a bit more resistant.
