Fred DEEP TEA DIVER Tea Infuser

Who couldn't love this cute manatee tea infuser? It has an appealing face and the flippers hook over the lip of your mug, whilst the tail sits in your tea. The head pulls off and the body can then be filled with tea leaves. I'd have liked a slightly prettier colour, or at least a choice of colours, although the greyish shade is true to life. I'm not sure how well it will wear over time - the head and body simply pull apart and then plug back together again, so I'm not sure that it will last all that long. However I don't know as only just got it. It also has a very rubbery smell when it comes (which is fair enough since it is rubber) so you need to give it a good wash before using in tea.

Horrid knock off, not an official Fred product (as you can see from the photo attached!)... Disappointed - total waste of money! Deserves no stars!

I got the Slow Brew. Bought it as an impulse buy as it was cute and looked a good idea. However, I find that the holes are simply too small and not enough to get a good brew on the tea, so you need to leave it for longer. I also found that the sloth doesn't fully submerge itself, so about half the tea leaves are above the water line (unless you fill your cup right to the top).Then, once finished, cleaning it out is a bit of a pain. You can't just tap it - youneed to get a spoon in and force it out.None of these are a major issue but it means it wont be my day to day tea infuser, and for £8 it seems a bit of an expensive waste!

This is a nice product - in theory. The design is original and really easy to use, and it's great that it sits on the edge of the mug even when you're drinking out of it. However, the holes are just too big, so tea leaves float out of the strainer into the cup and you're left with undrinkable dregs. It doesn't make it unusable, but unless your tea is particularly large-leafed, it is frustrating.

This is so cute, I really wanted to love it, but the design is dreadful. The actual infuser section is very small, if you put in enough tea to make a decent cuppa it's too crowded for the tea to have the room it needs to expand and move around. The opening to the infuser is tiny so getting the used tea leaves out is fiddly. Really not worth buying unless you just want it for decorative effect.

I bought this as a gift and was really happy with it. It's so cute! Good amount of space inside. My only fear is that the feet (which is the opening) comes off very easily so I think the tea leaves may fall out very easily if not careful.

Oh I love these little men. I bought 4 and kept one for myself. My friends love them. They are a bit annoying to clean out when using course loose leaf tea as it sort of clogs up in the legs; but they are so adorable hanging off the side of your cup as you drink that the little bit of hassle is well worth it.

very fun way of doing a cup of tea! cool little side ornament when not in use and a great present for the diver in the family!! would be great if it came with a teeny spoon or even a funnel type affair to load it with! slightly messy to empty!!

Small and novelty value soon wears off. Could be far better.

Once the orange cord detaches from the man it's impossible to put back on again and use. Nice idea but don't waste your cash.
