My Go-To Walking/Running Shoe From Now On
I left this same review for the Whitin walking shoes, but their running shoes are just as good, so they're going to get the same review:Of the many brands of running and walking shoes I’ve tried, Whitin zero-drop, wide toe-box designed shoes are the ONLY shoes I’ve found that allow me to comfortably walk 15K steps (7 miles, for me) a day with no lingering pain or soreness in my ankles, knees, or hips. I have their walking shoes, and recently bought a pair of their running shoes, and they are both excellent! The fact that their insoles are removable, and allow the addition of Orthofeet orthotic insoles, makes them the perfect walking shoe for me. After suffering through (and wasting money on) other brands of shoes that left my ankles and feet so sore that I had to stop walking for a week or so, I highly recommend Whitin walking and running shoes. After 7 months of walking, my first pair of Whitin shoes also seem to be holding up quite well. The fact that they far outperform the hyped-up brands makes them the best shoe for me, but the fact that they’re also much more affordable than the hyped-up brands makes them my go-to walking/running shoe from now on.I like the style of their running shoe better than the style of their walking shoe, but even if they only had the walking shoe style, I'd still buy it for it's comfort. Being able to comfortably walk 15K steps a day is extremely important to me, and I can't do it in other brands' shoes.

Looks Like a Brooks, Fits Better than a Brooks.
I am new to minimalist shoes and properly fitting for wide-toe box and splaying my toes. After reading reviews on several products, I decided on Whitin. So far I have tried their canvas and relaxation fit. For my style, relaxation fit is the best for me.I apologize for the long review; however, I did this to help others ensure they get as close to a fit as possible the first time. In normal shoes I wear a 9.5W in Brooks Ghost 16. Between AI and the Whitin instructions on measuring for a proper size, my foot size is the following in Whitin measurements: 10.6 Length max by 4.2 width max.In the Whitin running shoes, I ordered a 12W. In comparison to Black Brooks Ghost 16 9.5W, they look nearly Identical. As for size, the Whitin at 12W are obviously a bit longer by 1.5-2 inches and the toe box is nearly the same, maybe a wee bit wider. Where you see and feel the difference is the toe splay area. Whitin is wider. In the Brooks, the angle across the pinky toes come in at a lower angle, contributing to the pinky toes feeling cramped. How did the Whitin 12W running shoes fit? It’s a bit too long for my feet, but manageable. Once these wear out, I will order 10W. Then they shoe fit much better.Soon, I will be trying their food service shoes and anything with the relaxation materials and will provide my review in hopes it will help future Whitin fans. Most of us grew up on mass-produced shoes that are tailored to all. For those looking to sustain proper foot health or improve foot health, these shoes are the way to go. If you’re thinking about switching from the “normal” we all have been taught, these are a great starter. Just remember to measure your feet correctly. The old, normal shoe sizes might not work. Good luck!

little loose but better on concrete
I ordered this shoe A. cause its cheap and B. I needed something more comfortable in the barefoot world on concrete. Im knew to the barefoot scene but 1 hour power walk in my $160 vivo barefoot shoes on pavement was a little rough cause there so thin in the sole. these $40 whitin shoes still have a wide toebox and zero drop in heel but the sole is a little thicker so its more comfortable IMO on pavement. Only complaint toe box a little loose, besides that I love running errands in these,

Wide Toe Box and Comfortable Shoe - Great Value
This is my third pair of Whitin Wide Toe Box, neutral running shoes. Although I am not a runner, I have some pretty messed up feet, bunions, callases and hammer toe. These shoes allow plenty of room for my toes to stretch out and I have no pain from rubbing or tightness. I use these as my everyday shoes and they are lightweight and vented. Great value for the money. I have not been disappointed.

Great shoes for running and walking
I'm completely surprised how comfortable these shoes are. I run in them and I walk in them almost everyday. They are great for both. I have narrow feet, so naturally I assumed my feet would slip around inside. But they don't!I can't tell how long they will last (hopefully a while!) but I'm sure glad I bought them.

Stiff sole - insoles removable
Stiff sole. Big toe box. I have wide broad bad feet (arthritis & a break that didn't heal well, planner fascitis, & bone spurs). I wear prescription orthotics to help. The insoles that came with the shoe are easily removed and my orthotics slid right in. My foot Doc said I need stiff soles. Usually I have to wear solid rubber soles boots with my insoles to have any time on my feet before they throb. These seem to be adequately stiff... Not the stiffist I've had, but they feel like they will work. The outer rubber is a bit thin (suspect I'll wear it through soon enough, but at this price point I'd expect it). The foam Eva middle is fairly rigid. I ordered 12w and got a euro 46: fit fine. I'll update if time shows a different result.
