Dimplex SF6028SL Electric Fire Fan Motor Unit (DC 24V)

Although the packaging suggests that this is an 'aftermarket' item rather than Dimplex official, it has the correct lead length, polarity and output...so is the same. Works just fine.

We were on the verge of scraping our Dimplex OptiMyst fire. It suddenly stopped producing smoke and started switching its self off. We replaced Transducer once again. Still no smoke. Gave every individual part a thorough clean. Still no smoke and cut out after 2 or 3 hours. In desperation after watching a trouble shooting YouTube video we decided to renew the fan. Read all the favourable reviews and decided to purchase it. To our absolute joy and amazement it worked and we have smoke once again. If this hadn’t worked we were going to ditch the fire. It’s cost us a small fortune in replacement parts. I don’t think I’d ever buy another OptiMyst fire despite loving it. So if anyone has the same problem with the fire not producing smoke and all else has failed, try replacing the fan.

Works no problem

Replaced the old wheel on our Dimplex Fire, owing to the old one having stopped the smoke effect. This was a comparitively easy task taking around about 15 mins to remove the old wheel and replace with the new one. The only tool required was a small phillips style screwdriver. Unplugged the fire at the mains, removed the four tiny screws from the small top panel above the wheel, take away the small sponge air cleaner, lift up the old wheel and disconnect the wire connector and replace with the new wheel exactly in reverse order. Job done! Smoke effect back as new... Excellent product. This isa genuine review from a very happy customer-Thank-you Peter.

After buying 2 x cheaper replacement fans from rival seller , of which neither worked when installed !! I decided to buy this officially branded part for my fire from Amazon . It took a couple of minutes to fit & now my fire works perfectly again. Do not be tempted to buy the cheaper options as although they look the same, they are just not compatible…..lesson learnt !

Got the job done easy enough BUT the price is extortionate. The Dimplex fire has cost a small fortune in spare parts to date and will be reluctant to purchase another one. That said, the effect is very good and the heating elements have not been used. Maybe Dimplex could sell a unit with just the flame/smoke effect for a lot lower price.

Onze Opti-Myst haard was stuk en ik vermoedde dat het de ventilator was. Heb deze dus aangekocht en vervangen. Kachel werkt weer perfect!

Wurde schnell geliefert, ließ sich ohne Probleme einbauen und die Eigenreparatur hat sicher viel Geld gespart.

Ich dachte ich gebe etwas mehr Geld aus da bei dem günstigen Modell oft geschrieben wird das es bereits defekt ankam. Dieser Shop treibt Schabernack und verkauft die billigen Lüfter zu hohen Preisen.
