Mark Feldstein, The Original Singing Bird Clock, 25th Anniversary Edition, 8 Inch, Green

I've had this clock about 2 weeks and it's working fine. It helps me with getting distracted and losing track of time, and I'm learning some bird songs I didn't know. The small size of the version I ordered isn't a problem for me. For telling time--there aren't any numbers on the clock face anyway, so you'd go by the relative position of the hands, and that can be seen from across a large room. It's not a big display clock, though; it's a little bit over the height of a cheap paperback book. Mine has the green rim, which you could call "forest green," and it's a cute little accent. It plays even on a cloudy day where I have it, about 5 feet from a south-facing window. It doesn't activate at night when there's just light from the next room over, but it will if you put it next to a lamp that's turned on. I can hear it from 2 or 3 rooms away; I think they chose a good volume. The sound quality is good enough although one of the songs sounds kind of "cheep." :)

This is a very functional and cute clock. We love hearing the bird sounds.

Chirp! The clock is very attractive and the birdy sounds delightful. As Pandemic born bird watchers this is a wonderful reminder to breathe and appreciate nature. We’ve had ours for over a year and love it. Have given it as a gift and it is always well received. It doesn’t activate overnight so it won’t keep you awake. Time flies! Buy it!!!

The clocks are great, and a great conversation starter at home.

Wife had this identical looking clock, but over the years the clock face has faded, the plastic has yellowed, and somewhere along the line the clear plastic crystal popped out and was lost. She asked for a new bird clock, and when I found this one that was identical to the original, I grabbed it. It is the same color, size, and species of birds as her old clock, but the bird sounds are not as good. The bird calls of this clock are much more 'electronic' sounding, unlike the original which sounded more like natural recordings. The calls on the new clock are also more abbreviated. The Mourning Dove and the Chickadee are especially disappointing compared to the calls of the old clock. This clock's bird calls are also louder than the old clock, but since it does have a light sensor to turn off the sound at night when the room is dark, it's not a major issue. Overall, if you never had the original you'd be very pleased with this clock. Because we had the 10+ year old one to compare it to, we are just slightly disappointed with the sound. But the appearance of the clock is exactly what we wanted.

I had previously ordered this clock, BUT had I to replace one of the same kind, as my now deseased husband had purchased for me ❗It wasn't an expensive gift, but It meant so much to me‼️ The replacement arrived 10 days ago BROKEN‼️ I submitted my request for a replacement, online and Amazon refused to replace it ‼️I then called Amazon and requested a REFUND or a REPLACEMENT. I was informed that Amazon would REPLACE my clock at no additional charge and I was free to despose if the broken one❗Good news❗ Today, I my new REPLACEMENT CLOCK ARRIVED and it too IS BROKEN‼️It is a clock that has birds sounds that sound on the hour of the clock ❗NO BIRD SOUNDS‼️NEW BATTERIES, NO BIRD SOUNDS‼️ Well, I I suppose I AM DONE ‼️I'm UNABLE TO REPLACE THIS SENTIMENTAL CLOCK WITH and I'm sure I have no recourse, because I am DONE ‼️ BUT, I would like others to know about products that are being sold ONLINE and the COMPANIES that MAKE THEM DON'T GIVE A RATS BEHIND WHETHER IT WORKS OR NOT ❗Obviously HOPING that eventually the CUSTOMER WILL GIVE UP, NEVER TO BE HEARD FROM AGAIN❗ I am in my 81st year of my life, I and I AM SIMPLY TOO TIRED TO FIGHT THIS INSANE MANNER that companies CONTINUE TO SELL THEIR CRAPPY PRODUCTS ONLINE ‼️ BUT, BUYER BEWARE‼️ Like I said, I "it's a simple thing, but meant so much to be able to replace it WITH A CLOCK THAT WORKED ‼️THIS CLOCK AFTER THREE (3) TRIED, BUT DOESN'T WORK‼️

We had one and needed a replacement. It is a little louder than the last one. The old one had an owl at 12:00. Still really like it. Was the best present we have received.

J'aurais préféré l'horloge un peu plus grande. Cependant, celle reçue fonctionne très bien. Très satisfait.

Good bird songs for each hour. Pity that the songs are a bit short.

This anniversary edition is very similar in construction to the original version I bought in the Twin Towers in !999 which has finally expired. But I was a bit disappointed it the vocal performance as all of the birds are a bit similar and generally too quiet in a well-lit kitchen, you would need to place it fairly close to a window to get maximum output. Particularly disappointing was the Mocking Bird call - far quieter and lacking the wonderful range of sounds on the original version - why change that? As I say, disappointing at about three times the price including postage from USA... Update 2025: bird song has stopped - possibly due to light sensor fault, still works on test button. Disappointingly short working life.

I bought this clock for my 86 year old mom. In the heart of the city, she doesn't get to hear a lot of nature sounds 1) because of where she lives and 2) she is hard of hearing. This clock brings a smile to her face each time it sings out and these bird sounds are true to nature. This is her second clock in 4 years. We were unsuccessful getting the first one to chirp after changing the batteries. But despite that, I highly recommend.
