How and Why the Panda Planner made me happier!
I’ve been using my Panda Planner for four weeks now and simply couldn’t wait to review it. It’s got such great reviews already, but maybe this review will help you see HOW and WHY it really works! (TL;DR recap at the end of this review) I guess I’d admit that I was a little skeptical that it could do any particular wonders. I’ve tried a lot of different productivity tips and read lots of guides, blogs, and books...nothing has helped much. At least not in a holistic, all-encompassing way. Until the Panda Planner! Panda Planner claims it will help me “reclaim my happiness,” I simply wasn’t expecting the ways in which it actually would. Here’s how: [First: My PRE-Panda Planner “symptoms”: anxiety, overwhelm, lack of mindfulness, difficulty sticking to habits, mood swings, overall sense of “meh,” and I feel like my days just pass me by. My method of organization: Way too many to-do lists and Post-It Notes all over the place.] 1. Improved PLANNING: • METHOD: Half the battle of making the Panda Planner work for you is to set an intention and commit to it. You gotta go ALL IN and form the overall habit of connecting with your Planner not just daily, but in the morning and evening, at the beginning and end of your week, plus of course monthly overviews. Once you commit, everything falls neatly into place. Tip: Create a nice cozy ritual around the mini and larger planning sessions. I chillax with my coffee and Panda in the AM, for example, and it’s such a nice way to mindfully begin my day (rather than checking email/social media!) • RESULT: I’m simply WAY more organized than when I had my random to-do lists and Post-Its everywhere. I feel more in control now that my tasks are all in one place. I also feel so much more prepared and so much less overwhelmed as I go through these “checkpoints” of AM, PM, Weekly prep - consistently keeping tabs on both my workload and lifeload. 2. Improved PRODUCTIVITY: • METHOD: There are spots to plan your week and days, of course, but there is also a place to schedule the hours of your day, which I use to--at the very least--loosely schedule out all my projects and tasks and remind myself of meetings, meetups, and events. There’s also a bonus spot in the Month Overview to set bigger goals. I use it for things I’ve had a LOT of trouble tackling...you know, those tasks or projects that have been on the To-Do List forevvvver and just don’t get done? • RESULT: I simply get SO much more done now. The Panda Planner makes me WANT to write down tasks, especially knowing how great it feels to cross them off! I’ve noticed that the hourly schedule keeps me more on track. And the reward of crossing off tasks from both daily and weekly is, of course, very satisfying! Also, because I set a couple Monthly “Big Goal” intentions, those are FINALLY getting done! I had one on my list since Thanksgiving that I finally crossed off in July because of Panda. 3. Improved HABIT-FORMING: • METHOD: The key to habit-forming is to not take on too much at once and, of course, complete the habit daily. On the Month Calendar Page, you set your one big habit intention and then there are little squares in the upper corner to check off/color in when you’ve completed your habit for the day. There are also spots on the Weekly and Daily pages to record your habit(s) as well. • RESULT: I completed my assigned habit every single day with NO misses and I seriously attribute it to coloring in those little squares. Gamification is real folks! And because I’m more conscious of habit-forming, I’ve also gotten a lot better at pushing away little bad habits like checking email/social media and getting lost in some sort of internet research rabbit hole. Because of the Panda Planner, I feel like these habits are always subconsciously on my mind. 4. Improved MINDFULNESS: • METHOD: Every day you record: 1. What you’re grateful for, 2. What you’re excited about, 3. Your affirmation, 4. Your focus, and 5. Your wins after the day is through. • RESULT: Just like keeping tabs on my tasks in the AM/PM has improved my productivity, keeping tabs on positive emotions like gratitude and excitement has improved my overall life outlook. Even on days when I wasn’t feeling particularly grateful or excited, I just sat there and more or less “soul searched” for something and felt a lot better afterward. PLUS--like embers that keep a fire going--throughout the day, I notice that semi-subconsciously I look for things to be grateful and excited about. I also take more time with things, take more “mindful moments” breaks to stop, breathe, and notice things around me. My days feel more full of life because I’m making a more conscious effort to participate in them, rather than letting them pass me by. 5. Improved MOOD: All of the above--combined and working together--has improved my overall mood! I know that one big source of anxiety is simply being overwhelmed by projects and tasks, so now that I’m much more organized and I merely take things day-by-day, that anxiety has decreased significantly. I also do a LOT less social media scrolling and mindless interneting--a huge source of my negative moods. Also, committing to daily exercise, especially in the AM, is like a daily dose of happy dopamine and endorphins that always cheer me up! I also committed to restarting my drawing “passion project” after a year of neglect and seeing the initial results of that is like re-igniting a fire that I thought burned out. Even when I have my bad days, it’s almost as if the negative feelings are happening independently and moving through me like storm clouds and I know they’ll pass soon. I don’t hold on to them. I don’t try to control them. And I don’t give them as much weight. Again, this is all in Month 1. TL;DR Recap: Panda Planner makes it so much easier to access productivity, gratitude, and mindfulness because of the daily, weekly, and monthly structure right there at your fingertips. All you have to do is commit to taking the time to sit down a couple times per day and fill out the blank spots that are waiting for your words. That’s it! Everything I’ve mentioned above is MORE than worth the $25 experiment even if you’re just slightly curious about whether or not this planner will work for you. I honestly can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Panda for helping me become happier!!!

Success, motivation, and focus habits is developed by the Panda Planner
I love the format of this planner. I have bought other planners that are good at setting up your goals, weekly schedule, and things that need to be done. They always work out great when you put the time necessary to develop a proper plan. Personally, my problem is that that once I develop my weekly plan and goals, I keep my plans in mind, but then I start to drift away from it as time goes on. After enough time I drift so far away from my goals that I forget about the planner all together. The Panda Planner on the other hand almost forces you to make a daily entry, twice a day! In the morning you write in what you look forward to, and what you are grateful for. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to write my affirmation and focus in the morning as well, but I do. At the end of the day you will have a daily review section, which is my favorite part. The wording is just right that you don't feel guilty when you have made a mistake, it says "How I'll improve". We know that we have done something wrong, we acknowledge this without pains and write how we will do better next time. Instead of focusing on the negative we focus on the positive, all.the.time. I cannot emphasize more how important positvity is when growing and developing yourself. There are weekly goals and projects that you write down, as well as reviews from the past week. Monthly plans and goals, as well as a monthly reviews. The reviews have also forced me to look back in the day, week, month and acknowledge my wins and "deficits" (How I'll Improve Sections) in a productive and objective way. I have read that this is something that highly productive people do all the time, but I never had the motivation to actually look back. The design of the book allows you to easily go back to your wins and areas that need improvements to make objective decisions on how you will move forward in your life. It removes all the hassle of creating your own logs for self improvement, something that highly effective people have had amazing energy and motivation to do, of which I still don't understand how they did this with out the panda planner. It is a very elegant design who's emphasis on positivity makes it a joy to work with. One word of caution for anyone that wants to buy this: To get the best results you have to consistently work away with this book to get any results in your life. Throughout my entire day I am always referring to it, and start adding things for future dates. It is great at developing the habits of structure, success, motivation, and focus. However, you have to put in the effort. The Panda planner has done all of the hard work giving you a template to work with, now it's up to you put in your effort of structuring your life for success. Good Luck!

Nice planner with great daily pages for structuring your day
I'm a graduate student nearing the end of my time in graduate school. As I have more unstructured time (and many more things to do) than in the early part of graduate school, I've spent the last year looking for the perfect organizational system. I've tried a lot of different things (Bullet/Dot Journaling, To-Do lists, Spreadsheets, Passion Planner, etc.). I've created a hybrid system that generally works for me based on an academic scheduling system (detailed in the first few chapters of this blogged book: https://sarneckalab.blogspot.com/2018/07/writing-workshop-table-of-contents.html) and a Passion Planner. The problem was, the Passion Planner really only fit important stuff and it was hard to keep a running list of emails, phone calls, small tasks, etc. and I started to forget things. I also found that I was reticent to create a fine-grained schedule in my Passion Planner of what I was going to do that day (but I needed one). I searched around a bunch online, but remembered that a friend recommended the Panda Planner. The Panda Planner has made a big difference in my productivity. PROS: 1. The daily pages are great. I like filling out the "I'm Greatful For" and "I'm Excited For" columns while I have breakfast. It helps give me a good mood for the day. -- I fill out the tasks and the schedule for the next day the night before so I don't have to make decisions right when I wake up. -- I use a different color to mark up the schedule to record how I actually spent time during the day and to see what may have messed with my productivity (and what worked well) -- I like reflecting at the end of the day on what went well and how I improved. If I don't have enough "wins" I also try to record acts of kindness toward others 2. The fact that the entire thing is undated is really nice (I started using it at the end of February when my daily tasks were getting overwhelming and it seamlessly integrated into my life 3. I like all of the space for "wins" on the daily, weekly, and monthly level. Even if those "wins" are small, it's a huge boost (especially as a graduate student) to record any small thing that was a "win" to feel that you're getting some positive feedback. 4. The size is compact and convenient without feeling cramped. I carry it around constantly. 5. The videos are really helpful! I took some of the suggestions and instructions, and I easily modified others to fit my needs. CONS: 1. I wish there were a little more space for daily reflection beyond wins and improvements (the notes section is very small). On the other hand, that would make the planner bigger 2. The bookmark fell out within 2 days of buying the planner. I'm planning to superglue it back in, but that's kind of frustrating. 3. I have mixed feelings about the weekly layout. I like the idea of doing small things to improve different aspects of one's life and focusing on learning something new each week, but it doesn't seem to be significantly contributing to my scheduling practice (so far). It might be that I haven't gotten it yet, or it might just not be a great format for me 4. I'm not a fan of the dot pages at the back-- the dots are too far apart and there are too few note pages for 3-months. MIXED: It's a more reasonable price than a lot of other planners, but even so, it would cost something like $100/year to have one for each quarter (which is more expensive than most yearly planners). On the other hand, it's more helpful than yearly planners without being enormous. It's a toss up.

Life-changing. Seriously!
I have ADHD and it’s not just about having trouble staying organized- I have trouble getting momentum when tasks seem mundane or when I can’t see how they fit into the bigger picture. And since I’m currently a stay at home mom, a lot of my daily work can feel pretty mundane, and that leads to a lot of procrastination and wasted time. On the other hand, I sometimes have SO many AWESOME ideas (!!!) that my plans for the day aren’t realistic, or I forget what I was trying to work on yesterday, and then I get discouraged bc it feels like I’m working hard and just not accomplishing much. Enter the panda! ❤️❤️ This planner is SO helpful bc it’s month/ week/ day format makes me focus on the big picture, yet it allows me to break up large projects into more manageable pieces. The reflective portions (what I’m grateful for today, wins, how I’ll improve, etc) also help me reframe my thinking when I don’t get through all of my tasks, so I don’t just get frustrated with myself and give up if I have a bad day or two. And it’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to journaling consistently. I still rely on our household kitchen calendar for scheduling, bc I don’t find it super intuitive to use this planner for kids activities or other family events. It’s not quite visual enough for me - I use a combo of my phone calendar with an old school whiteboard to keep track of all that. That said - now that I’ve used this planner for just a few weeks I can’t imagine ever being without it! It goes from my nightstand, to the kitchen counter, to my purse and back again. I basically keep it on my hip at most times. Some reviewers mention frustration with the fact that there aren’t enough day pages to match the weeks and months. I don’t find this a problem at all but I think it depends on how you are using it. I start filling out the month pages in advance bc it helps me have a larger sense of time and it helps me scale what I want to accomplish at a more realistic pace. For example- say that this year I need or want to investigate a new future career, see a financial planner, learn a new language, volunteer, landscape the yard, practice Pilates, get my kids involved in xyz, grow a garden and read more non-fiction. The monthly pages give me numbered spaces for THREE goals. So I have to narrow it down- but bc I can flip easily to the following months, I can make a long term plan to accomplish everything that given year, and then the weeks and days are an extension of that. So all of my tasks start to take on more meaning - instead of being just isolated boring chores, everything starts to become a piece of a bigger puzzle. Sounds cheesy but absolutely, this planner has been life changing for me!

The Power of Positive Thinking
I really like journals and planners. I always begin a fresh journal or planner with great intentions of blossoming into a person with excellent habits, an organized life, and her priorities all in line. Without guidance, I have often cast aside my journal or planner within a few days of owning. Not so with the panda planner. I've been using the panda planner for about a week and a half and I have already made significant changes in my life. The planner isn't anything special, but it's organized in such a way that it guides you towards changing the way you think about your day. If you're committed to change (it's not going to motivate you unless you're ready to be motivated), the layout of the planner facilitates reviewing your day, prioritizing your day, and getting you in the right headspace to make positive change. My favorite thing about this planner is that it's so positive. There aren't any "ways I failed," instead, there's a box that guides you to think about how to improve tomorrow. I look forward to waking up every day and having to think about what I'm grateful for and what's important to me. I took it a little bit further - on the month page, when I've completed a habit (in my case, recording my food for the day and meeting a calorie /fitness goal), I give myself a sticker for that day. It's nice to see at-a-glance the accumulation of days where I took care of myself. I'm 37 years old and motivated by stickers. It's true. Instead of using the daily schedule (because my life isn't busy enough to necessitate a daily schedule), I use that space as a food diary. I record my calories and find it's plenty of space to do so. My only "beef" with this planner is that I wish there was a section of lined pages in the beginning or the back for notes, thoughts, realizations, etc. I would like to add a few pages so I could journal or note important things / realizations / etc. I think future revisions should include about 20 pages of lined sheets for this purpose. I think if anyone is using the planner to it's fullest, they will have some realizations as they set and reach goals. When you ask people to identify what they're grateful for and the things they're excited about, it sets into motion a new way of being present and mindful that also brings up other thoughts / feelings. I like the idea of having a place to do some light journaling within the confines of the planner. PLEASE ADD LINED PAGES!!! All in all, I truly believe that if you're ready to make changes and want to organize yourself to succeed, this planner is a fantastic tool. It's foundation is POSITIVITY and encouragement. If you have a bad day, you move forward. You start each day fresh and able to remember what brings you joy and excitement. I hope to continue being inspired to use mine every single day - to keep moving forward - to keep bringing positive change to my life. The person who made this planner knows something about the power of positive thinking. On more than one occasion, one of the things I was grateful for in the morning was my Panda Planner. That's the best review I can give - from someone who never bothers to write reviews.

I really wanted to like this
I have been using planners for at least 20 years. I've used Franklin Planner, At-a-Glance, Day-Timer, and Bloom, in a variety of sizes and in daily, weekly, and monthly (sometimes all together) formats, as well as Microsoft Outlook (digital). I saw ads for the Panda Planner and thought I'd give it a try. The first one I was able to get at a discount, about $14; I do think $25 per quarter is a bit much. But I figured for 3 months it was worth the experiment. I do agree with the underlying philosophy of articulating gratitude and positivity for yourself regularly, daily if possible. I like the regular review principle to keep yourself on track and accountable - daily, weekly, and monthly. I'm not a particularly goal-oriented person but I do have long-term projects sometimes, and I like to stay organized, keep track of things, and keep things together as efficiently as possible. Digital would probably serve these needs best but I like PAPER, and I like handwriting. I've read that the physical interaction of putting pen to paper actually helps the learning and memory processes of the brain. The Panda Planner has lovely paper quality that makes for smooth writing with any pen (or pencil). The cover is sturdy and smooth, feels like leather (I'm not sure if it is), and I like the elastic band to keep it closed. Where Panda breaks down for me is I find it too labor intensive: the freedom of an undated planner means you have to fill in all the dates (correctly) for the monthly, weekly, and daily pages. This does take some time and there is some margin for error. I opted to fill in all the months (6) up front, then complete the weekly and daily pages ongoing, but when you learn of a task or project that you need to do a week or a month from now, you can't just jot it down on that day's page unless you've already filled in everything in between to get it on the right page. And what if that date ahead falls outside the range of the current volume? Sure you can put it on a sticky note or in the open notes pages in the back, but this begins to lessen the effectiveness of a planner. So the long-range planning I find limited. Add to that having to fill in a new planner every quarter, I feel like I'm getting more penmanship practice than planning done, let alone progress on my projects! Another detriment to the undated format is you have to research and fill in any holidays or other data that most preprinted calendars come with. This too is labor intensive. So I will not be continuing with Panda Planner. I need to return to the prefab structure of a dated system that gives me room for project and goal planning without having to rewrite it every three months and hope I didn't forget to transfer something over. I will retain, however, the new habits of regular review/assessment, positivity, affirmation, gratitude, and focus. These remain indisputable means to succeed at your dreams!

Get organized in 2018 (or sooner if you want :) )
I am currently working full time, about to start my masters program and also training for a marathon. I am not blessed with amazing organization skills, so I wanted something that would keep me on track. I came across this planner and after reading the reviews decided to buy it. I absolutely love it!! I am able to stay on top of my tasks at work, keep up with my training schedule and also feel confident about doing good in school (the semester hasn't started yet so I can't comment on that). My biggest problem prior to the planner was that I relied too much on my memory or a bunch of scattered post its with partial notes written everywhere. Furthermore, it was hard to keep track of my personal obligations. This lets me keep everything in one place; I can see how my training progress is going and also see the progress that I'm making in regards to habits I'm trying to break or build. The planner is broken up into a monthly overview, a weekly overview and a daily overview. At first I thought it was a bit redundant, but after watching the youtube videos, it makes so much sense. I get a large scale view with the monthly section, then I can break it down further on the weekly overview and really get down to a much more detailed view with the daily section. As soon as I bought it, I started to fill in the dates that I had projects or events planned. I brought it to work and started to share with my co-workers. My company has already ordered a dozen because it just makes sense. I think most of us are trying to stay on top of our work and this just makes it easier. Being able to see the progress that you've made on your goals helps to keep you going and I think it ultimately helps you to accomplish whatever task you've set yourself to completing. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who might not be that great at getting organized and also to anyone who just wants to keep everything in one place. I'd give this more stars if I could.

Absolutely life-changing, life-saving planner!
I have only had this planner for a week and I cannot say enough about it. The monthly pages are there to help you keep a pulse on your long-term goals. The weekly pages help center you on your global tasks/goals for the week. The daily pages keep you motivated and help you break down larger tasks into smaller pieces so that each day you can accomplish a piece of the task. I am extremely busy and this planner has helped me stay focused at work and at home. I have a bad habit of procrastinating which just feeds anxiety about a task, but this book has helped me overcome the anxiety and face tasks that I would normally avoid. If you do anything for yourself, buy this. ::: UPDATE::: Almost a month later and it just keeps getting better. I cannot express how much this planner has changed my outlook and my ability to see tasks through to completion. I have been sitting on a mountain of unfinished tasks, but this planner has helped me to gradually address each one. Using colored pens certainly helps keep it organized and also helps to keep you intentional about each thing that you write on each page. I started out only using the daily pages on weekdays, but I have become addicted to taking time each morning to clear my head and address the items I need to tackle every day so I do it on weekends now too! You won't regret purchasing this planner!

The only planner/diary I’ve stuck with
I had admired the Passion Planner on Instagram for a while, but it’s an expensive import. This is similar. FYI - I’m an arty, unplanning, right-brain, spontaneous type. I’ve tried countless diaries and journals with many fails. Over time I have worked out what suits my character, personal style, and brain-type. I don’t plan, I journal. Firstly, un-undated. Anything with a date gives me the nudge to write even on days I’m apathetic about it…….. for a while. My previous dated diary lasted 3 months, then Summer came and the busy season took me away from my journals…. The empty days are unsatisfying to see and I couldn’t return to it. Undated gives me the freedom to use it as and when I’m inspired to. If you need the nudge, don’t buy this one. 2. A certain amount of parameters gets me started. The completely empty diaries/journals left me uninspired or required too much thinking to get started (bullet journals). This one has all the boxes ready to fill in. I fill in what I want and blank out what I don’t need (Schedule & Tasks). I especially enjoy the sections for Gratitude, Today’s Wins. 3. As a mixed media artist, I like the freedom to use various mediums although I don’t water-colour in this one. The thick paper takes most markers (not copic) and most water-based ink pads. Overall, it’s made well. Cons: 1. Really dislike the blue cover and there’s no other option, on Amazon at least. I will cover it, but an ugly (to me) cover could have put me off using it. 2. The ribbons are ugly. 3. A pen holder would have been nice. Diaries/planners/journals are utterly personal to ones needs & way of functioning. This one suits me. Someone in the reviews was annoyed that the months and days were separated and so we shouldn’t buy it. Firstly, that’s a personal preference. Secondly, it makes perfect sense in an un-dated planner! You need that flexibility of how many days you actually end up using. There are 3 attached ribbons which are supposed to help. I’ll be buying a second one - it came with a handy 10% discount too.

Pocas hojas
Sólo trae para 3 meses y no me gustó la organización. Hay muchos espacios para cosas que no me interesan (muy motivacionales).
