Reliable Little Guardian for My Tapo Home
The Tapo door and window sensor is small, easy to set up, and works perfectly with my Tapo ecosystem. It gives instant alerts, feels reliable, and adds extra peace of mind without being bulky or noticeable. For a simple but powerful security upgrade, this one’s five stars all the way.

Great for Garage Doors!
I got these to use in place of a reed switch for my garage doors. I was having trouble finding decently rated reed switches on amazon, reports of melting and incorrectly operating switches glore. Yikes! These work great for this application, and in retrospect, not having to run a wire to a reed switch resulted in a much easier overall installation. Just watch your sensor placement to avoid your doors track. I paired these with some Shelly 1 minis to operate the garage door opener. If you don't want to mess with electrical wiring to the Shelly, get the Shelly 1 plus version, and you can wire it to a standard 12v DC power cord, and use an normal outlet instead. You'll have to replace the batteries in these sensors every few years, but that's easy and cheap enough to do once in a while. They seem durable, I dropped one from 7 feet up onto concrete, and it still works just fine.I set these up in the Tapo app, and then added them to Home Assistant. The tp-link integration works great with the hub and t110 sensors, and they can be used locally without requiring the Tapo app. The sensors sensors seem much more responsive via Home Assistant vs the Tapo app.The only downside is the price, the t110 sensors sell for $20 a piece, but given the quality of reed switches on amazon, I'd rather spend a bit more, and not risk a fire. I purchased another set to install on my entry doors, and will probably put some on my fridge doors eventually as well. If they were cheaper, I'd put them on all my windows too...

TAPO is the WAY TO GO! Automate your Life like you're Rich, but quietly on a Budget.
Tapo has quickly become one of my more favorite smart home brands with their wide range of feature-filled gadgets for affordable pricing. Everything is easy to use and I've had very little issues with their reliability. These door sensors follow that trend! I open a door, the light switch goes on within a second or occasionally two. Provided, these do require a hub but that takes a load off your router, so it's preferred! The battery life has been so good, that even when the app claims a battery is getting low, I continued to use the sensor for over a month or two without interruption.I am a bit sketchy with their security, or potential lacking of, considering Tapo descended from Kasa which both are owned ty the questionable Chinese-owned company, TP-Link. I've heard of instances where these communicate with Chinese IP Addresses. Who knows what information they send back. That's a risk with many things in today's technology... The best way to set these up is to have them on their very own network, isolated from everything but their main API. I've used the Kasa/Tapo brand for the past 3 years and I've never had any issues!

Works as intended but needs a better ring
Easy to install. The included adhesives hold steady and so far the battery life has worked. Note that you do need a Tapo hub (H100,H200, or H500) to make this work and pair it with the Tapo app. The setup process guides you through each step. You have the option of customizing this with triggers such as sounding a bell or playing a custom sound from one of your Tapo cameras. This alone is where I believe the product falls short. For having the hub play a sound when a door or window is open/the sensor is activated, you are stuck with choosing a predefined set of doorbell sounds. There is no custom sound option, only to shorten the sounds already had. The workaround to this is if you have an indoor Tapo camera. Then you can make a trigger to play a custom recorded sound when the sensor detects the door or window is open. All in all, great if you are in the Tapo ecosystem and do not mind these minor shortfalls. If the battery life goes close to a year, I will consider this a solid investment.

Great
Works very well. I like how much you can customize and add onto this. Plugs right into the wall and the alarm is loud so you and hear it. Easy to install as well.

Genius gadget
I bought this for a family member caring for a partner with dementia. This makes it easier to know when a door is opened with an audible tone. I think others could find this helpful in a similar way.

Works
Not cheap, but cheaper than a subscription service. Attaches well, works well. The sensor attachment point is small, so can't put it on a large space. Works well. Not sure why they don't sell this with the hub as you need the hub
