A: Mine is fitted to a rack on the tow bar so have not fitted to roof bars, but the bag is very soft and unless you have substantial stiff boarding on the bottom of it, it will sag and touch the roof.  That said, it is very well made and for the price is excellent

A: No straps underneath

**Q: Can this be used with Audi A4 b8 which has flat roof rails and not raised to put the straps under only connect with front and back of roof bars**
A: I'm sure you could if you took it easy when driving, the bag is fairly stable when filled with a good weight. I would recommend using a strip of non slip matting under the bag and just buy a cheap ratchet strap and run it across the bag and through both passenger doors just to add some lateral stability. If you buy a thin enough strap you should still be able to close the passenger doors with no problem.

Took a bit of time to fit and load the 1st time - the buckles needed to be adjusted to length for my vehicle - wrapping the straps around the bars helped - good bit quicker the 2nd time. Good for a single long drive when you will be unloading at your destination. Not really suitable for touring where you need the contents every evening. Good solution for our once a year need for additional luggage carrying capacity to give the dog space in the boot / trunk. Much more cost effective than bars and a solid roof box and much easier to store when not in use. Best used with soft walled luggage as they can be squeezed in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A practical and compact alternative to roof boxes.

I used the rooftop cargo bag on a trip to Ireland recently and it held up really well. I needed some extra space but didn't want to pay for a roof box and bars and the price point for this made it a really viable alternative. The bag itself is easy to fit although you need to take care with the straps to ensure they are both tight and that they are adjusted so that there is no loose ends (i.e. you need to move the plastic clip towards the bag as far as it will go). I found if the straps weren't totally tight they would vibrate and bounce off of the roof making a lot of noise. I used this without cross bars just strapping it to the cars own roof bars and was absolutely fine although I think I would like to use them next time for additional security. The bag did move slightly back on the roof after a long motorway stint but not enough to cause any concern. The bag itself is water proof, I travelled on the roof of the ferry with it fitted and through some heavy rain and had no water ingress at all. It does get hot inside in the sun though so don't store anything temperature sensitive inside it. I managed to fit a large suitcase, a travel cot, and two backpacks into the bag. The bag wasn't totally full at this point so it could have fitted more if needed. It's not very practical to move around when it has heavy objects in it, and you need to remove all of the straps to open it so it's only really useful for items you won't need access to until you reach your destination. It also has no security, although you can fit a padlock through the zips as a deterrent. It won't stop someone just removing it however. Overall I'm really happy with it. I can really live with the faults I've found given how much cheaper it is than a roof box.
