right?? my first thought when they claim life-cycle. if they know that it will last that long, either they limited their productive capacity in the name of planned obsolecence OR the product is by definition a result of information from that amount of time prior. that is to say, either they designed this thing for 10 years and then finally released it, or they made it to last exactly 10 years, or theyre just blatantly lying even without the planned obsolecence piece. Nothing against the company, love the player hate the game, there's really no answer that makes this system make sense without ignorance. Truly, we live in a dystopia

Exactly.  How does it work?  Just a bunch of scientific-sounding mumbo-jumbo to confuse people and make them hold the product until past the return date.  They want you to think they created some "catalyst" that works across all gasses that make up odors, which is impossible given any amount of money, let alone for $25.  As a few reviewers noted, the reviews here are probably fake.

"Catalytic Decomposition Particles" is fancy marketing language to make you think the product is superior because it's smarter than you - a catalysts is responsible for starting a chemical reaction, decomposition is a chemical process in which molecules are broken into smaller pieces, and particles is a generic word for molecules. So, there's a specific type of plastic inside that "helps break down smelly odors" - you don't need to know the specific substance the material is made of, they won't tell you. That's most likely part of the patent.

...I am thinking the same thing! However, if you buy a box of baking soda every month, this deodorizer pays for itself in less than 3 years. It's worth the try because only time will tell how effective it truly is.
