It arrived quickly in good packaging and great condition, already tuned! It sounds lovely and is fun to play around with even though I don't have any musical training. The stickers & tuning hammer are nice conveniences, bit tricky to put the stickers on but I figured it out. The sound is very soothing and yet quiet enough to play behind a closed door without bothering others, so it's a great instrument if you have roommates or want to play at night. The craftsmanship is also beautiful, I like the sun design, it's surprisingly comfortable to hold (I've got small hands), and I was also surprised how pretty & smooth the wood grain is. I'm glad I got this for my first kalimba. I definitely recommend it.

If you are at all curious about these things, you will love this Kalimba/thumb piano!! Very good quality with a beautifully satisfying sound. If you're a beginner, this is the one. If you're buying for a kid (excellent Christmas present), this is the one. In both circumstances, go with the 10 key. These are so well priced that you can always graduate to the 17 key later. I don't think the product description mentions, but it also comes with a booklet that has generic instructions on how to play the kalimba (you literally just flick it with your thumbs, that's it) and, this is the best part, instructions to play a few simple songs. Our favorite is "You Are My Sunshine." It's crazy soothing both to hear and to play. Buy it!

Beautiful Kalimba! It’s really great quality and I love the little sun pattern in the middle. It came already tuned, and with everything the description said it includes. My only fault with it is that the littlest prongs to the far left and far right don’t sound as clear as the others, but to me it’s not a big deal as the rest of the kalimba is perfect- also I think it’s probably common throughout this type of instrument. But overall, if you’re looking for a kalimba, I definitely recommend this one!

playable out of the box. a little tuning helped dial things in, the included hammer works perfect. fine adjustments and tuning is easy and straightforward. gentle taps are all that's needed. the sharp end is great for repositioning tines that might shift during tuning the very outside tines, the highest 2 notes (D and E), don't sing very well at the start, and being so stiff they ring other tines with them. not in a 'sounds like you mashed every note at once' way, it just drowns them out and makes the high notes even quieter and less pronounced than they already are. but this seems to be a problem with all but the higher end kalimbas. the more you play the more they 'loosen up', so the sound gets better with time. the other 15 keys sounded great right away it's been about a week and the high notes are noticeably cleaner and more sustained. still less than ideal, but much more playable does not come with the blue thumb protectors shown in the images. it does come with the tuning hammer, storage bag, booklet, and the stickers pictured. best played with thumb nails for the cleanest and most consistent sound all in all well worth $20

This is a great instrument to keep out on the coffee table and to be available for the whole family to play! I learned about the Mbira in one of my college music classes and have always loved its sound and tone so when I saw the Kalimba I knew I had to get it. As soon as I opened the box the kids were right there excited to try it out! It is super easy for all to play and get a good sound from. I was shocked at the number of songs on the internet for this instrument. The intonation was pretty close right out of the box and It was incredibly easy to adjust the tuning using the tuning hammer. I haven’t tried any alternate tunings yet but look forward to trying. This instrument has beautiful wood grain, the keys are nice and shiny, and it seems to be well constructed. I haven’t found a negative about this.

This is a well built instrument that is fun to play around with. I have experience playing piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, etc. and this is very much it's own thing. I find it difficult to get used to because of how the notes are laid out (lowest note in the center and alternating higher notes on the left and right). However, it would be pretty difficult to play anything that sounds bad on this. Everything sounds so pretty and nice. I think this would be a great instrument for children showing interest in music. The stickers that come with this I found to be pretty ugly and not worth using.

I own two 17 key Kalimbas made by Donner excellent instrument. Comes with notes already marked with letters and numbers so no messing with crappy stickers thats a huge plus for me. This 10 key I’d say is more for kids to tinker with. Tines not marked with letters and notes which makes it very difficult to play unless you memorize all the notes assigned to each tine. The sound is alright not as great as my 17 key but the craftsmanship is awesome.

Compré la kalimba y la entrega fue rápida, en el tiempo marcado, sin ningún retraso a pesar del COVID. El material está muy bien. Madera resistente, lindo color, aunque más oscuro que el que aparece en la foto y buenos acabados. Es bastante cómoda de tocar, fácil de afinar. Las lengüetas son de muy buena calidad y la afinación es bastante precisa. El martillo para afinar también es de buen tamaño y calidad. Muy sonora. Nítida y profunda. Estoy muy conforme con mi kalimba. Tiene un sonido precioso y el precio me pareció justo para lo que recibí. Altamente recomendable.

見た目はとっても良いのですが、 ノイズのない素直な音色の弦もあれば、ムビラ並みに音にサワリがある弦もあり、演奏しようとすると音色に統一感が無さすぎて全然ダメでした。。 ただ、ボディの作りや見た目はとても良いので、もし音色が思った通りじゃなかったら、車のワイパーの中に入っている金属を切って研磨して、弦を自作すれば、狙ったとおりの音色で統一できるかもしれません。
