I bought this to connect an old laptop screen to a raspberry pi via an hdmi cable. It works perfectly and has a remote to switch off the screen or switch inputs and change display settings.

Great controller board, only HDMI input so no wasted space with unnecessary ports. Controls an old laptop panel with 1366x768 resolution (mine's 15.6" but as long as the resolution is the same it covers any size). Had a slight issue as the signal cable (red cable #1) came loose but easily reinserted with no further issue, and the troubleshooting leaflet that comes with it had it listed should I not have recognised it. It only drops a star due to no included power supply to make life easier but description does detail what you'll need. I'd definitely buy another should my need arise.

Works really great. Small problem with mine. It already overheated once. While I didn't notice any physical damaged it started to work again after cooling down. I advise to unplug it while you do not work with it.

It worked fine first time but 2nd time after connecting power jack poor weak solder broke and had to resolder to repair,works just as it should,easy setup.

For a start, the IR sensor wasn't soldered properly, so was left hanging by 1 pin. Then after 5 minutes, there was a sparking noise from the main board and from then, it stopped detecting any HDMI signal. Poor build quality. Will be seeking a refund.

Vor längerer Zeit hatte ich mir überlegt einen Monitor an meinem PC Setup zu installieren auf dem ich mir dauerhaft die Daten, Temperaturen und Auslastung meiner Komponenten anzeigen zu lassen. Da ich noch einen alten Laptop mit LCD Display rumliegen hatte war schnell klar welches Display ich für diese Idee nehmen werde. Nach einer kleinen Recherche konnte ich dann diesen Controller als geeignet verifizieren da gut beschrieben wurde für welche Panels er geeignet ist. Der Controller ist nicht sehr groß und kann daher super auf der Rückseite des Panels angebracht werden. Die Bildqualität ist wie erwartet einwandfrei und die Wärmeentwicklung ist sehr gering. Das Bild ist sobald der Rechner hochgefahren ist umgehend auf dem Display angezeigt. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über ein normales 12V Netzteil und somit kann man sich für kleines Budget auch einen mobilen externen Monitor bauen sofern man ein altes Laptop zum verwerten des Monitor übrig hat.

Worked for about 10 min and then the 3,3 volt regulator burned. I upgrade with external 3,3 volt voltage regulator.

L'ho comprato sperando di poter sfruttare il vecchio schermo di un laptop HP (si era bruciata la scheda madre ma il resto era intatto) come secondo monitor del mio pc attuale. Vedendo che tra i modelli era indicato anche il mio compatibile, ho voluto fare la prova. Ho comprato l'alimentatore, il cavo HDMI e testato il tutto. Devo dire che funziona alla grande! Tende a diventare caldo (come è normalissimo che sia) quindi consiglio di dargli modo di arieggiare non chiudendolo in una scocca o contenitore sigillato. Io ad esempio ho applicato dei fori sulla "scocca" amatoriale che ho creato e non sto avendo alcun problema. Inizialmente l'avevo impostato a 1366x768 come consigliato dal pc ma veniva tutto un po' sgranato. L'ho invece poi impostato a 1920x1080 con zoom al 125% ed onestamente sta andando che è una favola! Sono davvero soddisfatto di essere riuscito a recuperare quel pezzo del pc, risparmiando pure i soldi rispetto all'acquisto di un secondo monitor!
