These actually work!!
I admit it, I’m a naturally skeptical person but was at the end of my tether after my newly landscaped garden was held hostage to cat poo. This wasn’t just any cat poo. This was dog quality cat poo. Left by, what I can only describe as, half a lion rather than a cat. A shaggy, long haired huge beast of cat which kept leaving steaming, smelly piles right in the middle of my nice (white!) shingle. I tried various lemon scented sprays but one downpour and it was gone so I wanted something heavy duty to get rid of this monster cat. I’d read the reviews of the product and most seemed to say they work. The hints and tips left about screwdrivers were spot on and really helpful. Putting them together was a doddle but the minute I put all of the batteries in I could hear this click click click and this almost inaudible sound. I’d read some reviewers notes that said the sound left them nauseous and feeling a little car sick. Absolutely spot on! I felt quite queasy after assembling them but forged on as I had a cat to remove. I’ll be honest I didn’t expect much. I thought maybe if anything the blue light that comes on when they are activated may scare a cat off. I have two of the three (one is spare) at certain points in the garden and one facing the usual poo patch. From the day I installed them zero poo on my nice white shingle! Nothing at all. Success!! However my joy was short lived when I spotted a swarm of bluebottles in another part of my nice new beding area. That bleeping cat!! Undeterred I figured out that the current range and angle of the scarers needed moving slightly so all of the garden was covered. I’m now three weeks into using these and I’m poo free for three weeks. Poo free people!!!! I’m staggered just now well these work. Set them at halfway on both dials and enjoy a kitty free back garden! My neighbour saw me install these and only recently asked what I was doing. I explained about the cat and she said “oh yes that beast, it jumped on my conservatory roof and gave me such a fright as it was so big and loud!” The beast of a cat is still around but the blighter is no longer in MY garden!

Now working as it should
I bought two packs of three and I am more than pleased with five of them and they have almost totally cleaned our garden of Cats and squirrels. The only issue that I have is that one unit just eats batteries, it seems to last for a max of two days and then the batteries need to be changed. I have tried it in various places in the same area as other units and all the others I have not had to change their set of batteries. It is just one that I have issues with, I will have to buy a new one if the cost of sending back etc cost too much. I am about to inform sender as I have been testing the unit to see if it is me and not the product. I have to say that the five that work works brilliantly, and recommend them to others who have a problem with cats or Squirrels. It is now seems to be working OK!

Used for Foxes!
Sceptical with all the mixed reviews but plunged into buying these as I was getting sick and tired of the mess the foxes were leaving in my garden and using it as a thoroughfare into neighbouring properties.. Anyway, product is a s described and I didn’t find the assembly hard at all.. used a screwdriver and held on to the nut with my thumb until it was securely fixed.. yes a little fiddly but no major issue. Concerned that the instructions were not clear as to what the dials were meant to do and what settings were ideal for each purpose.. anyway, easily resolved by trial and error.. First few days I was beginning to think this was a hopeless purchase and as I covered up the holes that were dug underneath the fence on the day of installing I found that this product wasn’t working as the holes were dug up again.. Anyway, a few days later SUCCESS!! No more fox poo and no more holesdug so I am overwhelmed!! This works a treat and for the sake of a handful of batteries every month this is a small price. Those of you who are looking to deter squirrels then you will be disappointed, though foxes have gone I am still seeing the same amount of squirrels.. Not what I was looking to deter but would have liked them to have done one too.. Great purchase and 5 stars from me!

These didn’t last long but did keep cats away when they did work!
Unfortunately all of ours have already stopped working. We used them for about a month during summer successfully, then brought them inside for Oct & Nov because so much rain = no cats. Now can’t get them to work. New batteries in but no idea why they’ve just stopped. :-(

Does not work on foxes
I’ve been battling for some time with a pair of foxes digging up our pots. In the case of the tulips which are not yet established I’ve gone to many lengths to try and keep the foxes out, I started with purchasing 3 of these ultrasonic devices placed in a triangular manner pointing inward so that should a fox enter that zone they would be bombarded on all sides. It did not work! I then added chicken wire, stakes on 4 sides, they got under that. I’ve now moved to stakes in 8 places which last night appeared to have been enough to deter the digging. However what I had not anticipated was with a more established plant coming up, that the fox would attack that! So here is the fox, in my pics, digging right in front of the sensor (placed in the pink pot) at one point it looks it dead in the eye (you can see the blue glow) and carry’s on digging and causing destruction. These are completely ineffective unfortunately at deterring foxes. The cat parade that seemed to come across the patio through the zone does appear to have stopped, so if you’re looking for cat deterrent this might well work. My hunt for effective fox deterrent is still on.

Her across the road's cat don't like it. Not one bit....
Update after a week's usage: No cats caught on our security cameras since day after installing. If it were just a couple of says, I'd say coincidence. After a week, it has to be this little repellent gadget, which is doing its job. So happy. I won't have to change the batteries in the cameras every few weeks now. Still haven't decided where to put the third one though. Observation based n 24 hour's usage so far. Bought these after getting really xxxx'd off at the cat from across the road triggering our security cameras at least 5 - 6 times a day. Bought the 3 pack and installed 2. We have a long thin drive and I put one at each end, setting the sensitivity to medium and the frequency to 5, to scare off cats. Well, the offending feline don't like. It don't like it one bit. Up to today, it slowly walked up and down the drive, taking it's time and almost daring us to come out and scare it away. It's like it knew it was being filmed and just didn't care. This morning, we captured it on the cameras and it shot through the drive like it had a lit petard up it's you know what (Before anyone shops me to the RSPCA, I am guessing. I have no experience of cats, or an other living organism, with lit petards up anywhere, OK? It's just a figure of speech) Anyway, it clearly didn't like whatever it was hearing because, both coming and going, it couldn't vacate the drive fast enough. Hopefully it will get the message soon. Anyway, it seems to work a treat, so I would definitely recommend this if you're having cat problems. Now, where to put the third one?

Highly recommend
Highly recommend, we had a daily issues with cats using our front garden as a toilet. I was sceptical, but in the 3 months since installing these we've not had a single visit. Well worth it.
