GREAT controller - the back buttons CAN be programmed to multi-button presses
I read lots of reviews that made me think the back buttons could only 1 to 1 map with non-back buttons (so, simulate the XABY keys or an L1 etc.). I used it for 2 weeks thinking this - turns out I should have just tried, as the multi-button presses I needed (Left Trigger hold + d-pad) were mappable - granted, it's not a macro (so no timing info is saved and you can't input something like "Hold trigger for 2 seconds, release trigger, press up on d-pad"), nor does it come through as a distinct button event from hardware to laptop (I tested with GNU/Linux jstest to monitor the hardware events), which is something I read the X-Box elite is capable of with a special driver. Being able to bind combo buttons to the back buttons means on a game like Final Fantasy 14 (FF14), which can have some really gnarly controller key presses required (the left side action axis wheel requires holding left trigger and pressing a d-pad direction - very hard to do while using the left joystick to move), can now have all 4 of those bindings set to a single button press. The downsides: - The back buttons are VERY easy to press - if you're using this for PC gaming, and set it on your lap to type at keyboard, you're probably going to register a few back button presses as you set it down (or if you shift the controller in your hands) - this wasn't so good in Diablo 4, where I don't need those binds at all. Re-binding is slow/tedious, and you can't save multiple bind "profiles" as far as I can tell - The remote feels great, but is extremely light - a name brand X-Box basic controller feels 2 to 3x heavier - I don't know if that's because of a cheaper rumble system or what. For some people, such a light controller may be desired, but I prefer some "heft" to my devices - I used GNU/Linux fftest program to calibrate rumble levels - it only has 2 rumble levels from the 5 listed - I assume the name brand remotes have all 5 - the 2 it does have are the most important though - "strong rumble" (which can still be at various strengths) and sine, which is like a pulsing rumble effect The upsides: - Joysticks feel great, they have a rigid pattern around them and it's fun to swivel my thumbs around the edge for the tactile feedback - The controller overall (exterior) feels much better than a cheaper model one I compared it to (a $30 Switch controller that works with PC) - The triggers are not just "press" (maybe this is more of a Switch controller thing) - they have analog ranges of 1 to 32k, although most games treat them as binary presses - The buttons feel good to press - no stickiness - very satisfying to press them Overall - definitely recommend for gaming on GNU/Linux! 3 month update: I recently tried an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller (2 so far) - apparently almost all are plagued by face buttons failing to register - that has never been an issue with the PowerA here - for a third of the cost, you're getting a way more reliable controller - in comparison to the name brand model, the only thing it lacks is bluetooth and a bit of "heft" to it (and the "customizations", which are not valuable if base functionality is broken).

Great 2 years of life
This is really a great controller i have had it right at 2 years and no issues. I am replacing now because the right bumper is going out but other than that this controller was so great to me through all the games that I have played. ONLY IF YOU CAN GET IT ON SALE is it worth it the $114 is WAY too much.

I mean it's an improvement I suppose.
This is a controller that I had high expectation on. I had own the previous two controllers, that being Fusion Pro and Fusion Pro 2, which both had one issue, the back detachable paddle kit was poorly made and the plastic tabs broke easily overtime. With this controller, they made the improvement of switching to buttons, which is great, right? That's if you plan on using all four buttons on the back that is. I only use one, and even when I'm not using it, the other buttons are in the way of your fingers. It's a bit inconvenient and lackluster to me, they have a nice click to it, but that's not the main problem. The only real issue is that the controller feels like a downgrade from the last predecessor. It feels, light, cheap in some ways. The Fusion Pro and Fusion Pro 2 felt nice in the hands, wighted and with comfortable grip in the back. It wasn't the best to clean, but it felt like a true quality controller. The Fusion Pro 3 however feels under preformed. I would have liked to have seen more quality and weight added to it, just feels more plasticky that the last two generations. If your for the new look and buttons, this is your better option, but it's definitely an interesting controller.

My absolute favorite controller (A year later)
I have been playing (too many) video games for years and have gone through so many controllers. I bought the Power fusion 3 a year ago and it held up phenomenally and always was snappy and felt like a top tier device. Unfortunately, a bumper and a trigger stopped working out of nowhere. However, I reached out to customer support A YEAR LATER and they still handled my claim quickly and properly and sent me a brand new controller. If you’re hesitant and this brand, DON’T BE. The controllers and the customer service are top top tier and you will not be disappointed.

Keep having to replace.
The LB Button fails me after a few months. I keep having to replace the controller through warranty. Terrible product.

Insane value, but not for large hands
For the price this is an insanely solid controller. Unfortunately, it does not feel good if you have large hands. As you can see in the pics, I have massive hands and the controller is just way too small. The back buttons are too high up so it's very uncomfortable for me to try to hold it with 2 fingers on them. I tried different grips and even just using 1 finger for both of them, but it just wasn't comfortable. It's also worth noting that the Fusion Pro 3 is A LOT lighter than the Pro 2. I would guess probably 50% lighter. I preferred the weight of the Pro 2, but that's all preference. As far as performance goes the controller is phenomenal. I bought it for Halo Infinite and it had zero drift whatsoever. I put all of my deadzones down to zero and my character doesn't budge at all with my fingers off the thumbsticks. Thanks to this, playing halo feels very "snappy" and highly responsive, and that I very much liked. Overall, I most likely won't be keeping the controller just because it's too small for my hands. If the back buttons were placed lower it would be fine. Maybe the Pro 4 will have that. Anyways, still great for the price. I bought this to replace a Elite Series 2, and I still like it more than that sad excuse for a controller.

Great feel, and responsiveness but broke after 5 months of use.
I would love to give this controller a five star review, but unfortunately it’s just not durable enough… I have purchased different versions of the Fusion Pro and they are by far, for me, the best controller feel of any like it out there. I won’t go into past versions terrible design flaws, but instead I’ll focus on this version. The build of the controller is a tad on the lighter side, possibly because it’s wired and doesn’t have an internal battery, but one of the most ergonomic in my opinion. It’s the right size for my long fingers and the button click is extremely responsive and have a great mechanical without needing to be pressed to hard. That being said the controllers are very delicate as I’ve come to find. The first one of this version I bought (I have now bought two of them) I will not fault since it fell more than a few times from my desk and I also threw it once (raging in online competitive is a thing I’m not proud of). So I gave the controller a second chance and bought another, however five months later (and I’m proud to say no throwing, or carelessly letting it fall) the left trigger started acting a little funky, not registering a few times until it all together stopped working. I considered buying yet another, but frustrated after taking perfect care of it and even buying a stand so it wouldn’t fall again, I decided to open it up to see what the issue was. I could have contacted customer support, but these processes are often annoying or too long so I gave up on that, opened it, and to my surprise the left trigger was snapped in half. It broke from usage alone in five months. I really think that for its price point it should have lasted at least three times what it did. Since I had the old one, I opened it and switched out the part, something I don’t recommend since I’ve very likely voided any warranty and can’t return or exchange. It’s working well now and I will continue using it because I genuinely like the build, size and feel of it, but I can’t in good conscience let anyone buy it without first knowing that they are, unfortunately, not durable. If you end up buying it, know you might need to replace it not too long after.

Power A fusion pro 3
I gave it 5 stars, because for the price, it deserves it. However after 8-12 months of use and testing other controllers I do have some comments. Number one, it’s a great quality build. Love the 4 back buttons and the interchangeable sticks. Love the robust build. Meant for large (glove size) hands and up. Very solid material used. Honestly it’s in the pro range quality without the price tag. The overall feel beats elite by far. I know there’s a 4th gen now that I can speak on, but when I bought it, it was a great deal compared to scuff and elite. CONS: would prefer Hall effects tech in both the sticks and triggers. In fact for a wired controller the response time in the triggers is delayed by tiny slight fraction or milliseconds. It mostly doesn’t matter but when it does, it does. That’s it. That’s literally my only complaint. Trigger tech. It still wins plenty of matches but since testing Hall effects it’s just slightly sub par. I’m sorry, it’s true. But for the price with the available software to create hair triggers through the app. the build. the material. the feel. all very good stuff. As soon as fusion updates trigger tech I’m going to buy that model because I love this controller. I looked up fusion pro 4 and it has Hall effect sticks but same triggers from what I can tell. Again, you can use the app to create a hair trigger but it’s not technically instant response. Most importantly for the 70-80 bucks I paid for this, totally worth it. Would highly recommend. The accessories and swappable sticks, size of controller and 4 buttons on the back. I can never go back to basic. Would definitely recommend

Fiable
