Would these potentially burn using a modern desktop computer cd burner using Windows media player??

I don't know about using them on a desktop computer. I use them on a cd recorder and they are great and a good price.

Hi, in response to your question, you can buy Maxwell Blank CD's in Wilko's, they're not the XL-II as advertised here, but they are still quite good. You can purchase a pack of 10 on a spindle for about £2:50. To be fair, l have never used the XL-II to record directly from a vinyl, l have only used the XL-II to burn from a computer. after ripping an artist album or downloaded an MP3. I can't see why they shouldn't work, but to be on the safe side, I'd purchase the cheaper option first, so you don't waste any money. If they do work, then you'll know for the next time.

Yes the Maxwell XL-II blank discs can record music from a computer, with excellent results. I've been using these discs for my music that I have downloaded onto a computer and they hold the sound, giving a clear and concise copy, whether it be music burned from a CD or it be MP3 music.
