Problem free FPGA development board
Fantastic development board. Good documentation and easy to use. Haven't had a single problem with the fpga to date.

i am new to FPGA development. i have gotten a few of them. but until now have had a really hard time using them. this one changed that. i will not be buying Intel ones anymore

Dürftige Doku, gutes Board
Meine erste Erfahrung mit FPGAs, daher hatte ich ein wenig Einstiegsschwierigkeiten. Das Board selber ist in schickem Weiß gehalten und hat auf der Unterseite Gummipads, was sehr angenehm ist und es ein bisschen rutschfest macht. Allerdings erhält man hier wirklich nur das Board und keinerlei Kabel dazu, nicht mal ein USB Kabel zum Anschließen. Cool gelöst ist auch der JTAG Header Anschluss, dessen Pin-Löcher nicht gerade, sondern im Zickzack verlaufen. Ich dachte erst an einen ziemlichen Produktionsfehler, aber im Gegenteil, das ist total durchdacht: So kann man die Pins einstecken und es hält durch die Verzahnung perfekt, ohne dass man löten muss. Clever gemacht! Ein bisschen widersprüchlich ist, dass das Board sich offenbar an Anfänger richten möchte, aber fast keine Dokumentation mit sich bringt. Ich habe recht lange das Internet gewälzt, um passende Tutorials zu finden und das Board ans Laufen zu kriegen. Aber: So lernt man es. Tatsächlich hatte ich meine Probleme, die LEDs zum Laufen zu kriegen, da der Code und die Beschreibung nicht gepasst haben. Allerdings wird man wie erwähnt im Netz fündig. Trotzdem sollte sowas nicht passieren - dafür einen Stern Abzug. Wenigstens das bisschen Doku sollte dann schon stimmen. Bei den 4 Switches / 4 Buttons hat wiederum alles auf Anhieb funktioniert. Ansonsten aber ein passables Board zu einem einigermaßen guten Kurs. Kann man machen.
