does it need batteries? It says requires one but I Can't see why?

I bought my last Mr Potato Head in 2019 and, like all that had come before it didn't need batteries. I can't imagine why it would need one so I'd leave it until you've got the toy and can check properly.

I would say it’s more for younger children. My 3 year old loves it.
