A Godsend when putting up Christmas lights . Can never have enough plugs . They did their job .

I needed this for powering my CPAP (< 65W) and iPhone charger (20W) while camping in Yosemite. It allowed me to power my devices right at my bedside without any cords to trip over. I did not require the three prong outlet but it was good to have in case I needed to plug in a longer 3-conductor extension cord.The Good:Light switch pull was smooth to operate, and the screw base was securely attached. After reading some reviews I made sure to tug on it to make sure the screw base would not separate when pulled downward. The dual plugs are nice if you need more than one temporary power cord attached.Great value for the price and a two-pack.The Bad:Nothing bad to report!Other Comments:Yes, of course the ground terminal of the outlets is not connected. This is simply because a standard light socket only has two terminals! The small center electrode terminal is hot (I.e. 120VAC) while the larger metal screw socket is neutral. There is no “ground” in a light bulb socket. The metal electrical box should be grounded, but there is no allowance in a standard light socket to provide a third terminal that is ground. The neutral is bonded to ground at the main electrical panel that supplies power to the circuit. But in the case of using this temporary bulb socket power adapter, you have to be mindful there is no true ground terminal. And this is not an issue for the cellphone chargers or my two terminal plug for my Resmed CPAP power pack.

Two defects: polarized 3 prong outlet on one side is incorrectly designed so the wide prong is on the WRONG side. You CANNOT plug in a 3 prong outlet. 2nd, socket base is poorly made and weakly attached and breaks off very easily. This is an electrocution and fire risk. If the weight of the electrical cord plugged into the outlet is too great, or if someone accidentally tugs on the electrical cord, it will break off, exposing the live wiring, which could come into contact with a person/fingers or to materials that could combust.
