Can you use bulbs in a regular lamp?

The bulb has a standard lamp base. It is not recommended to install in a lamp or light fixture that can be seen with the naked eye, serious harm/damage will occur because of the UB light.

Can this be used in a closet with clothes in it?

It does get hot so you shouldn’t let it come in contact with combustible materials.

Does it need ballast?

No. A simple light socket fixture works fine. These are set.for 120v AC.

does this light bulb kill fleas --- with or without ozone???

Yes, although fleas are attracted to UVC light, their dna will be scared (this will kill their life cycle) if you place uv light in the 250-ish nm range within 10cm from their bodies and eggs. This is also true with eggs. Fleas have phosporus on their outer shell, so UVC light can detect them to some degree. A simple google search can collaborate my answer. A word of caution here... these lights will also damage your eyes and skin. Set up your lights in a room, set a timer and walk away before they turn on and don't enter with exposed skin or eyes until it turns off or you will expose yourself to damaging UVC light. Then rearange them on the floor to cover another area. Do this every 10 or so cm for each light. Simply hanging one in mid air will not be affective for fleas- you need to place them on the floor or bed or wherever you need to kill them. These lights work and are no joke to play around with. Be careful and don't guess- safety first! Hope this helps

Dangerous item. DO NOT PURCHASE

The light bulb started smoking as soon as it was switched on. You are not meant to be in the room at the same time that this bulb is on. Luckily I was. When I walked up to take a look at the smoke a flame came out and the bulb then failed. DANERGOUS. DEFECTIVE. DO NOT BUY.
